Grid Iron for $500

It looks like it's the complete cabinet without the head, but the seller called it a coffee table, lol.

It does come with cupholders!

Chuck-A-Lock Cocktail Pin for $800
Located in Frederick, MD
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/670146547615344/
While the price isn't super great, the most interesting part about this listing is the following:
"I have over 20 cocktail pin projects I will be getting rid of - all Allied Leisure and Game Plan."
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

I know who that is--he bought my Viza War a few years back. He is/was a big cocktail collector.

Quoted from gdonovan:

I see a lot of good parts for my projects.

Oh I hope not, it's a complete machine that just needs to be restored. I am always against parting out complete and working machines.

#23055 1 year ago

Pretty sure this was a real deal and not a scam. I sent a message on it just after seeing it here, add had been up maybe 40 minutes. Told them sold I could come that night, it was just a few hours from me. Didn’t hear from them until the morning and I think I was second as they communicated with me. Who ever got it didn’t pick it up until later that day. Wasn’t me…

It wasn’t me and she confirmed I was second in line. Someone got an awesome deal.

To far gone.

By the time you replace the playfield and backglass you have exceeded the value of the title. They pop up all the time here and I can literally save 2 or 3 (or more) other pins with the parts from this wreck.

I guess it depends if you are bringing it back for you or for resale. One could say that about the majority of playfield swaps and so forth.. for someone who could not find a decent deal on this machine, it sure would be a great opportunity for elbow grease.

I think there was a lot of second in lines??? A friend in another group here though he was second that’s 3 of us. It she would have read my message she could have had cash in her hands between 10 to 11 that night but she didn’t read my message until that morning. She was very polite as was I hopping there was still a chance.

Even if it was "just for me" there are better available for the same price or nearly so.

I build pins from scratch, so no stranger to hard work.

Yeah, I saved worse without issue. But I look at it as a hobby and a joy, not as a flipper would.

Quoted from Quench:

Original cabinet was three color (white, red, back). That one is four color with red changed to blue and also skin tone color added. Have to suspect it's been redone. Does look good!

I was guessing that also that they repainted it themselves. Did a decent job. I have one myself. And its the original White,Black,Red. The blue threw me a little. But I kinda like it. I reached out to the seller to see if he still has it, since he only an hour away.

Congrats on getting it! Glad I posted on here. I may have been the first one to have dibs on it since I saw it only 3 minutes after it was posted and the seller responded about a minute or two later saying it was available. But then I realized I'm lazy and didn't want to drive 3 hours to get it so then I posted it here on pinside, haha.

I must have been right after you, but I live 20 minutes from him. I jumped in the van so quick and threw on my shoes as I got in. The guy said he had about 30-40 messages by the time I got to him!

That's kind of what I've figured out now is unless you're lucky and the seller is willing to hold a machine for several days if they are far away, you need to find a machine close by within 30 minutes to have any chance of getting it.

It's Jeff Moorhead. He brings a truckload of projects to Pinfest and York shows. He's got tonnage! Good guy.

Quoted from jrpinball:

Jeff & his family work their asses off trying to get machines to people who will save them or use them for parts to save other machines. I have known Jeff pretty much ever since I have been in the hobby and I can tell you there isn't anyone who works any harder moving tonnage of machines and parts around then Jeff & his son.

Sometimes his prices seem a little high or his machines seem a little rough but he does all he can to get this stuff to people who will do something with it. Anyway - he might not be the cheapest around but he is a man of his word.

Spin A Card, 1969 Gottlieb: $250 OBO
This was a great working machine 20 years ago, it has been sitting in storage since then. When plugged in a few lights come on but no bumpers or electronics seem to work. Playfield and backglass look great. I am close to the Long Beach area of California for local pickup, local inquires only please, don't think it would be worth money and effort to ship. If interested reach out to me and I can give more info. Pictures are available.

Jeff and his son Colin are awesome!!! I’ve twice mentioned games that are very rare and on my shortlist, and they have come through both times within a few months.
Yes, sometimes you get absolute trash, but the prices reflect that!

Incredibly reasonable, and good guys! If you are the type looking to resurrect machines from the dead and not get taken to the cleaner, they’re your men!
