Anybody want me to nab this for Pinfest?
In days past, I'd have taken your offer. I wonder if this is the same one which sold at Pinfest a few years ago. I know the guy who sold it, and I had my eye on it at the time. Cute little game, and very attractive looking.

That's certainly way up there. I've only been that close to the border a couple times picking up games. Lots of winding roads. It's a tiring drive.

lol, probably, but it's still almost a 4 hour drive. Longer, if you get stuck behind a slow moving vehicle for several miles.

Plus some people need "gas money" and "food money" the way prices of everything keep going up. When money starts getting tighter people start looking at stuff they don't need and putting it up for sale. The way 2022 is starting out I think you will see a lot more stuff come up for sale this year.

I'm all for it! This is where saving some extra cash on the side will be advantageous!

I agree with this. Between gas and the grocery bill becoming higher, luxury assets will become disposable. I’m debating about picking up some seasonal summer hours somewhere, in addition to my normal 9 to 5, to cover cost increases. With all the companies offering signing bonuses and increased wages because they can’t get employees, it’s become lucrative.

Around 14 years ago (when we first got into the hobby) things were very bad for some people and people were having a hard time paying their bills. I remember weeks where I picked up 6 or 8 machines without even really trying. I don't think buying is ever going to get that easy again but I do think you will see a lot more stuff coming out of people's basements this year than you have in the past 5 or 6 years. Only time will tell!
With that said anyone here in Central PA no longer needs to worry about competing with me for machines because I am no longer buying machines regardless how good the deal is. I have actually passed on a couple machines in the past few months that were as close to free as you will ever find. I just don't need to deal with moving 300 pound machines anymore at my age so have fun guys.

I would have thought the opposite, since usually pinball owners are better off and can handle economic downturns. Or maybe that's a misconception.
Quoted from HydrogenHuman:I would have thought the opposite, since usually pinball owners are better off and can handle economic downturns. Or maybe that's a misconception.
Typically it isn't pinball collectors (or "owners") putting things up for sale when things get tough. It is "Joe Average" that bought a machine (or two) 20 or 30 years ago for a family gameroom in their basement. Now the kids are off on their own and mom and dad are in the process of "downsizing" and selling off stuff they just don't need anymore.
In life you will find things typically happen in about 10 year cycles. So we are starting that next cycle of changes - inflation going up, cost of living going up, unemployment going down, interest rates going up, etc. Then in a few years things will take a turn down again and the cycle will start over again.

I wish you were closer. I need some people for my business.
