Quoted from La4s:

20 hours is a long time for a game like this to stay out there. Hopefully the eller was overwhelmed by the initial influx of messages, and will come back this morning to your message first. It has happened to me before. Good luck!

Yeah I should have jumped on it yesterday, but I'm also dealing with a newborn

Too much money for that title, especially in a large bundle buy!

I guess someone would need a vision for what to do with all of them like the seller once had, but a buyer like that’s probably gonna be hard to find.

That's crazy!

#22060 2 years ago

$13,000 for 16 average EMs is crazy.

#22061 2 years ago
Quoted from bluespin:

I wonder what diabolical plan he had for those 16. At least hopefully they'll remain original now. But... who wants so many multiples of the same/similar title of a mediocre game? Now, if it was "King of Diamonds"/"Diamond Jack", he might have something there.

#22062 2 years ago
Quoted from jrpinball:

He was originally doing Sailor Jerry conversions.

Hmm. Pretty clever, but like the old TV show, eight is enough!
Game isn't listed on IPDB, or Pinball Owners.

Gottlieb The Games

Working game implied.

Another one where I’m like: why am I not biting?
Appears to come from a salvage/cleanout company and they may be motivated to move inventory…

Seems like a great deal. I would be all over that if it were near me. I have been wanting a Gottlieb machine.

#22068 2 years ago

And it's gone. FWIW it looked pretty clean and seemed like a good deal. A friend of mine has (or had) a GTB The Games, and it is a pretty fun game. To the point where I've thought about looking for one. Has a classic GTB EM feel, even though people often criticize that era of GTB games and how simplistic it is compared to others in the same era.

#22070 2 years ago

Great price, and a really fun game. Great spinner rip on the left.

#22071 2 years ago

That backglass looks great!

I have an Aztec, be aware that insert cupping and planking are typical for this pin.

Lucky Ace - no bg

#22080 2 years ago
Quoted from undrdog:

Lucky Ace - no bg

I believe Mayfair had a couple of Williams "High Ace" backglasses which would probably work in "Lucky Ace". Not sure if they are nicked up or not, but I'm pretty sure I saw him with that glass at a show.

#22081 2 years ago

Steve Kordek's proudest achievement (according to him): Genco's Triple Action. Not the greatest deal but it's an iconic game... Williams first flipper game if I'm not mistaken.

I agree. I'm just cautious about certain ads. If I miss a deal so be it. It's better than spending hours chasing a hacked account or worse.

#22086 2 years ago
Quoted from Dono:

Williams first flipper game if I'm not mistaken.

Kordek boasted that his "Triple Action" was the first pinball machine with two flippers in the conventional location; at the bottom of the playfield.
The first Williams flipper game is "Sunny".

Too add from above " Genco wanted to cost cut " by using two flippers instead of six.
As in Gottlieb's Humdty Dumpty.

Yes, true, and a good thing they did. I believe though that pure logic would have eventually determined the modern standard flipper position, but Genco and Steve Kordek were the first to do it.

Me: Look at the beautiful nicotine patina on that cabinet. Shay Arcade Group will be making this backglass. This may be the same one from the estate sale last week that was $375.

Looks like it to me, too. I'm guessing someone bought it thinking it'd be cool to have and knew it was a good price, then got it home and has no idea how to fix it, but knows how to flip it for a quick profit. Thankfully, he seems pretty reasonable on his markup.

Yet another iteration of pinball "table"

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/3850502315175636/

I think this is why I cringe when people call pinball machines tables.
