Quoted from Bortino:

Black Hole Pinball Project - $500
seattle.craigslist.org link
Oper: selling a Black Hole pinball project. It is a heavy project so please be warned. Needs boards, and bottom playfield has been cut funny. Would recommend a Pascal replacement board just to start. Cabinet has some gouges. $500 cash.
not mine - Previous owner cut the wings off the lower playfield. Comes with glass and lock bar.

i would buy this in a heartbeet...i know a couple of guys in the seattle area who can bring it to me.

Quoted from frunch:

If anyone's thinking about that BH project, pinsider 27dnast has a lower playfield listed in the marketplace:
https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/114407

that makes it even more tempting...

Quoted from KCMike:

If someone gets this for parts, I could use the backglass if it’s decent.

no man this thing need to be saved.

There’s a free Meteor in Payson, AZ listed on Facebook marketplace. I doubt it’ll last long, but I hope someone here can grab it and do something with it.

Just saw this now. Killer deals, imo! Too bad none are solid state, and too bad I'm too far away! Anyone traveling from IL to MA sometime soon? lol

I'd gladly get the Solar City, but there's no way I'm traveling to IL to pick it up. I forget if anyone on Pinside does routes from the Midwest to the new england area.

Update: Solar City looks like it may be gone. Someone is picking it up tomorrow morning. Nice whoever got it!

It's an EM "Dragon"?

It's actually a decent looking Williams Hong Kong. I'd buy it for $200 all day long but 9 hours round trip. No thanks.

#20725 2 years ago

Oh, Williams "Dragon". No such animal. "Hong Kong" is a nice game.

I finally was quick enough on the draw to be first in line for a pin… Now I’m having second thoughts before going through with the deal. Would need to haul out of a basement alone, and don’t know if there’s much value in an off-brand wood rail.

Ad:
No back, missing parts, could be restored or used for parts
$75 or best offer
Must Pick Up
Late 1940s we believe

Talk me into or out of this!

If it's a basket case, there's plenty of parts to salvage! Go for it!

#20729 2 years ago
Quoted from Hairball:

A machine of this age can be taken out of a basement by one person fairly easily. Dismantle and then move backbox, playfield, glass, cabinet, and then legs all separately. The cabinet can be cumbersome but if you place a strap around your shoulders and the cabinet it can help make it easier to maneuver and you'll be able to have an occasional hand free to open doors, etc.

Quoted from Hairball:

don’t know if there’s much value in an off-brand wood rail

Look's like the backglass is missing a bit of paint and the lockdown bar is missing (but perhaps is in cabinet...?), but could certainly be an interesting project for $75 if you're interested in getting it working again.

If local I would. You don't see many Marvel games. Interesting and dirt cheap. Worth at least that in parts but would be cool to bring it back to life. The biggest bummer is the backglass but that could be remedied if you decide to later on.

#20731 2 years ago

Thanks for the feedback everyone! I am going to grab it, and will create a new thread elsewhere to avoid cluttering this one up any further.

Edit: safely home with me, this one is going to be a challenge to get running with the lack of documentation available.
Made a restoration thread here for anyone interested:

I read this ad, and before I could save it, Facebook rolled other posts into my feed. I considered the drive for the first four, but I'm not really motivated to drive all weekend to pick them up. I'm hoping to pick up some good projects at Pinfest.

Good! It’s even got the original legs. Preserve and restore it! These games are getting rarer and rarer. They’re more-so very cool pieces of history.

Yes, you can search a 500 mile radius from ANYWHERE so when I get bored with my local search results, I will try Chicago, Philadelphia and Atlanta and REALLY see what is out there...if you are willing to get in the truck and drive all night.

I am not willing to do that, haha. I need to compile a list of different shippers and pinsiders that travel around the USA so I have different contacts in the future.

Mini Pool, Target Alpha, and Strike zone (body only) are mine. If anyone has a strike zone head let me know. I’ve already know someone with a spare Mini Pool head and a friend may also have a target alpha head but he has to check the hit shed.

I ended up getting this one. It’s in pretty rough shape. Lots of hacking underneath, sound didn’t work well, stuff not hooked up, upper left plastic decal is gone and playfield is roached due to mylar removal. Still got it since I drove an hour but it’ll be a project for sure just to clean up the wiring. Boards look good at least and battery pack was relocated.

This is my first solid state project so it’ll be a good one to learn on. If anyone has spare parts for it hit me up.
