Kings of Steel, 1984 Bally: 675
A project machine that I won't get to. Backglass - nearly perfect; cabinet - excellent, no gouges, artwork exceptional; playfield - 4 or 5 wear areas, no broken plastics. I've never plugged it in. MPU has the normal Bally battery corrosion and will need to be repaired. Complete game. Plenty of pics, just ask.

I could definitely use the parts, but I'm in the SF bay area. I've got a guy who can bring it to me, but I haven't heard back from the seller(giver?) yet.

The issue is that the notes of the triad are designed to be musical but are out of tune from one another in an egregious way.

Kinda, and not always. There's IIRC 4 frequency generators, and a couple tones are made by frequency dividers of those initial generators. So there is some ability to tune but it's imprecise and only certain things can be tuned.
It'll still sound terrible though, just a different tone of terrible that is potentially 'better'.

Yup. Iirc, different games had their board set to different pitches. EG Dracula they went for a lower, more 'spooky' sound, while Hot Hand has higher pitched lively sounds. I don't mind the sounds, they're just very simple and plain.
