Quoted from Skidave:

I disagree. I find it challenging with many opportunities to choose from during game play.
However, it is one of those machines that seems to be love it or hate it.

Quoted from Rougarou:

I’m still new enough to the hobby that every machine still seems exciting. That is slowly starting to wear off...

It's great that everyone likes different pins for different reasons. You can try a pin out and if you don't like it, you know that you'll be able to find a buyer for it. Even if it's a Vector, Lightning, Big Ben or Bally El Toro.

#20402 6 months ago

I would buy both Vector & Lightning.

#20406 6 months ago
Quoted from RoyGBev:

Vector and Medusa are two games that seem to me to be loaded with features that stretch the capabilities of the AS-2518-35 MPU too thin. Awkward rulesets and gameplay (though Medusa is certainly beautiful).

Vector tidbit: the GI lighting was supposed to be like Williams Pharaoh.
1) back box.
2) upper playfield.
3) lower playfield.
Final decisions was to make the lower playfield standard GI.
The more you know.....

Quoted from RonSS:

Never let that feeling go. Each game has its own charm.

Now 5 years in I only have maybe 5 games I really don’t enjoy. As Ron said, just enjoy the charm of each game. Be sure that you avoid the trap of comparing every game to the latest and greatest and you’ll be fine. Every pinball has its place! EMs, Solid States, DMDs, Modern Era LCDs, even Woodrails and fully mechanical games.

What game is it?

Guess it sold, but was a Twin Bill- Gottlieb $400

A pawn shop in town has a Twin Bill back box for sale if anyone is interested send me a PM.

Could be a scam.

Ships for $14.99! Sounds legit to me!

Take a couple laser cannons if you go to pick this one up!

#20418 6 months ago

Gotta be a scam. Even non-working, cosmetically challenged STTNG's with missing parts fetch $2K+.

#20419 6 months ago

Here's a Bally "The Shadow" on eBay. Dead, doesn't even light up. Nice PF. Opening bid was $10. Now at $304 in 10 hours. Located in southern VA.

#20420 6 months ago

The STTNG is definitely a scam. Saw that same set of pictures / prices showing up all over the place in many different locations

Now $504. 3 people are bidding it up. Auction Sniper is your friend. Never bid early, wait till the end.

It's driving distance from DC - it won't go cheap no matter what (even without a single interior photo - backbox or under playfield).

FYI. On Offerup and other sites they default to X shipping rate if you don't enter one. Sellers will never pay $500 to ship you a pin if you only pay $14.95. Based on other comments it is a scam, but not because of shipping.

That's it Rob! Discourage other bidders so I can sneak in and get it!

#20425 6 months ago

There is no way that Shadow on eBay is going cheap.

I appreciate that Rob. I'm not willing to pay a really high sum for a pin with no pictures of the inside of the cab, under playfield and boards. The boards, transformer, etc. may be missing. I don't mind a project, I'm just not going to pay $3K for an unknown project, then pay $1k-$1.5K for missing parts. I'll bid on this project, but I may just look for a fully working Shadow to pick up at Pinfest.
