This is not a project. It is not even a pinball machine. But I think it is cool and maybe something that would get someone's interest.
It is a rare arcade game called Dozer. One is for sale near Kansas City. I know nothing else about it.
This link tells you a little about it. Halfway down there is a video that shows one of these in action.
https://arcadeartifacts.weebly.com/americoin-dozer.html
If I had a lot of money and some space I would not mind having this to spice up the collection.
Quoted from cottonm4:Halfway down there is a video that shows one of these in action.
The sound package is questionable - it sound like an WWII airplane dog fight
Quoted from steviechs:The sound package is questionable - it sound like an WWII airplane dog fight
It's a 40 year old machine.
I remember playing one of them back when I was a kid. Guess that shows how old I am. After watching that I now want an RC Dozer and a big sand box to play in!

Like those boys in Germany with their RC construction toys.
What I want is one of the Junkyard machines. Can you imagine the bar room betting you could work up with one of these?

Other people bid the price up. There are still plenty of deals out there.
Stretching the rules a little as these are not pins, but they are EMs and they are projects. 3 Chicago Coin EM videos on Baltimore CL:

Not sure if this will get some hate on this thread or not:
I love this thread for what it is and the help that others provide but I have a hard time posting everything I find as we are all wanting to get the great deals. No secret that it’s usually the first one to get there with cash to score some great deals from FB or CL.
I would have happily driven to GA for that Black Knight but I know there’s no way someone won’t have that pin in their car within a couple of hours of posting.
I am interested in building a smaller group (inner circle?) of people who would be interested in texting to share good deal finds quickly, and have everyone play nice to only go for ads for pins in their areas. When I’m actively looking, I may check FB and CL every 30 mins-hour because those who know, know that that’s what it takes to score the deals that most people never see posted because they get sold so quickly.
Maybe this is selfish and will bring other selfish pinheads together to create a monopoly? Maybe we could all be happy when our other inner circle members find a great deal because we know ours will come at some point too?
Anyone have any advice, thoughts, or words of caution on this mindset or approach?
Quoted from Rougarou:I may check FB and CL every 30 mins-hour because those who know, know that that’s what it takes to score the deals that most people never see posted because they get sold so quickly.
You do you. It sounds like a good idea if you can score a few friends to help in your adventure. Personally, what you said in the quoted section above is exhausting. I've done it. Searching for project pins, competing with 7000 other losers trying to get a deal is exhausting.
Better off just posting projects here & asking the pinside gawds for pins you are interested in.
It is definitely exhausting. I only do it when I’m feeling determined to get a new project.
On the flip side, someone in Dallas scored a TZ and Breakshot for $500 each a couple of weeks ago. I responded within 10 minutes of post on FB (wasn’t actively looking, just right place right time) but couldn’t beat the person who prepaid and was on the way 10 minutes later. Sometimes the rush of getting a deal like that makes all the refreshes worth it.

I run a FB page called No parts No trades pins under 3k.
That is a great place to look.
I am also generally a phenomenal person to ask about known sales, projects, and upcoming pin sales. I almost always have pins and arcades for sale, and I 100% of the time know where to go for good deals as well.

The only thing is Facebook is so invasive and the comments are such a circlejerk. I just left Pinball Enthusiasts ‘cause the admin was a total clown who straight up banned people who disagreed about his favorite machines. I called him out for being a power tripping loser and he didn’t like that haha.
It’s friggin’ Facebook group, not the head of state. Why do people think anybody gives a shit about their opinions because they run a group?
I miss out on so many deals as I'm not on FB, so this is one of the only places I have to find out what might be going on. I occasionally do the CL refreshing, but living in the middle of Illinois, there just aren't a lot of chances to beat out the people in Chicago

Update - this machine will live again - picked up a black jack head and backglass last weekend to put it that much closer to "complete"

I saved a Black Jack last year myself. Bought a basket case at a garage sale for $100. Another $700 later (parts and supplies) and after countless hours of labor over 7 months, I've got a really nice player. The experience and skills picked up during this project far exceed the $800 I have in it.

Thanks.

I've had 2 over the last 20 years. Beautiful game, but once you get the horseshoe shot down, you can kill it. Nail it, catch the ball on the opposite flipper, repeat. My best was over a dozen times on the same ball.
