Quoted from vec-tor:

That is what I was thinking. The game could be converted into another game.

I'm looking to build a second Flash Gordon, pity.

This one is mine...from the sad sack category. Does someone have the moxie to save this tired old pin?

Not a project, but I found this rather.....interesting.

Buy a DE Star Trek for $42,500.00 and get a whole crap-ton of Star Trek memorabilia and collectibles along with it. Sold as a lot, will not separate. This guy is going to have a long, long wait.

At the other end of the spectrum....not projects, but a pretty reasonable seller:

OP:
Time to Thin the Herd! I am offering a few of my classic Pinball Machines for sale. These machines are all solid players quality games that play perfectly with minimal wear on Playfields or Back Glass. I have priced these games to sell and not at the outrageous prices being asked these days for junk machines! I am willing to offer a package price discount on two or more machines, but my prices are very fair on these, so serious inquiries only please!

1. 1974 Gottlieb Jumping Jack. 2 Player Machine that is super clean, plays great and has no issues. This machine was once up at Lyons Classic Pinball I am assuming because of the custom score card insert. $900

2. 1973 Gottlieb King Pin - Single Player game in great condition. Minor playfield planking that does not affect game play at all. 95%+ paint on playfield, cabinet is nice with nicks here and there but very presentable. Backglass has some flecking but looks good with no large chunks of paint missing. Very presentable machine that plays perfect and is ideal for honing your pinball skills. $875

3. 1984 Jacks To Open 4 player electronic scoring machine. Very Nice all around condition and plays super fast! Fun Game with no issues ready to set up and play in your game room. $1225

He's dreaming. I went through his lists hoping to see any original props from the shows/movies, but it's all cheap retail knick knacks. He's vastly overvaluing everything.

Look at what he thinks the pin is worth by itself:

One Better, 1936 Rock-ola: Free
I do not have the wooden legs, nor the playfield glass. I have carefully cleaned and repaired the mechanisms and circuits, all of which are now functional. The cabinet and playfield are in fair condition and the workings are in pretty good condition, though it all still needs a bit of TLC. You would have to pay for any shipping.

Hell of a deal, won't last long.

Wow! I would almost consider the road trip for that one but I'm sure the new PS server is about to crash due to the load on the seller's inbox. I've got an oscillating saw, no problem to chop that bolt head off for transport and fix properly once home.

Someday I'd like to pick one of these up and try my hand at making a better translite.

Below is a link to a good alternative Raven translite. Unfortunately it won't improve the poor gameplay, but it'll distract you from that poor game play.

The thing is, all the problem is rules and software. The layout isn’t bad. It’s almost like there was a bet on how much you could sabotage the game with only the code.

Few games beg for better code more than Raven.

I'd love to give it a shot. Stuff an APC board in there and work on adapting the harness. Then, you can code up new rules in MPF.

Not sure if this is still valid, but an alternative to the APC? https://lisy.dev/lisy80.html

I agree. I have one but it’s not as nice as this one. I reached out to the estate agent about pricing but didn’t hear back.

Seems a little fishy (no pun intended). Why would a 10 year member of Pinside sell a Fishtales for a $1000.00 that just needs an "Allen bolt"(?) removed from the head and most likely a bad switch/optic in the trough? And what is maybe up there on the list of least faded cabinets for a FT. Not to mention practically zero wear on the playfield fish inserts. When the pinside average for a FT is in the 3750.00 range.

Just sayin.....

I thought the same thing, but I figured that a 10 year member would have been vetted already- hence the 'possible' project label.
If someone got a $1K FT, the more power to them!

#20295 2 years ago

I believe some members keep their accounts for years with little postings or visits to the site, not necessarily the seller of the FT. Someone here who bugged the hell out of me about buying a pin a year ago and only joined a day before messaging me disappeared after I agreed to sell and ship the pin using an escrow service. So some suspect scammers will keep their accounts here for years to use them to screw someone in the future.

BINGO MACHINES (good condition)!

Manufacturer: Bally
Game/Type: Mystic Gate & Citation
Year: 1975 & 1948
Production: Unknown
Cost: $250
Location: Dalton, GA

Comments: Look like they’re in really good shape. If they weren’t so far from me for $250 I’d pick them up

“OP: I have two pin ball machines! They both are balley machines. One is a 1940’s nickel machine the other is a 1970’s machine. They are all together! Need to be cleaned an gone through! They get power but they don’t light up or come on! If they are stil on here they are available!”

These days, what makes more sense is that the price was a typo... It was probably meant to be $10,000.
