I was told I was second and that someone local would be looking at it. I commented that it looked to be in nice shape and laughed at the thought of someone passing especially when it was free. He said his father restored it but he just wasn't interested in it.

Sounds more like a Fishtales to me, but I'm hoping someone got a real pin.

Lol. You didn't offer any monies? That was a fake pin anyways.

OP: "This Tag Team pinball machine is probably more of a parts machine than a project but if someone is feeling ambitious it can definitely come back. It has a really nice backglass and fair condition playfield. The game is missing many parts and the fiberboard cabinet has pretty bad damage.

Major missing parts:
Display
Mpu
Coin door"

Not bad! Tag Team looks like a sweet game, I’d restore it

Looks like we have a Tag-Team of pinheads that can restore this pin. Now we just need to convince Colsond3 to drive to Cleveland to pick it up and deliver it to the northeast!

If it was a bit closer I'd have grabbed it already

With all of the playfield wear in the ladder, this flip flop was flipped a lot! Beautiful nicotine patina though!

Minor adjustment = belt sand the playfield to allow the ball to roll.

I didn’t look at the score reels. It’s probably a local collector pranking people for April Fool’s day.

This was his response:

Sir can you kindly tell me where the dumpster is? That pin is worth millions!

#20139 3 years ago

Several years ago, I was tipped off by someone that there was a Gottlieb "Subway" sitting out next to a dumpster in Brooklyn.
It was killing me, because I couldn't possibly get there.
I thought about someone I knew casually who lived down that way, and hunted down his phone number.
I called him, and he said he would try to get over there. It was a 20 minute drive from his house.
He called me back later, but sadly reported that it was already in the dumpster. I asked him if he tried to get it out, but he said it was buried and crushed under a lot of concrete debris. I felt sick for a while.

Yes sir. It is easy to find. Just go the corner of Walk and Don't Walk.

Once I get some other BS out of the way we will have several LIGHT PROJECT Solid State machines for sale here in Central PA. Right now I am thinking around mid May and about a half dozen machines but I really don't know for sure at this point. I probably should have just waited until I was a little closer to making this happen but I always like to let the locals know what is going on ahead of time when we are getting ready to sell off some machines.

No list yet - no prices yet - I just know I need several machines gone soon to make room to start redoing the basement.

#20147 3 years ago

Anyone have good suggestions for starter project for a teenager? Looking to buy a project for my son for the summer. Figure gives him something to work on rather than stare at the Xbox. Figure $500 cheaper than summer camp (too old anyways) and gets him interested in electronics and sense of accomplishment (if) he gets it working.

Trying to find a fairly simple machine to work on, want to at least try to set him up for success! Any suggestions appreciated. We’re in southern NH for what it’s worth. Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, any Gottliebs going in the list (not asking for titles)? Just asking.

I am in need of a summer project. Will be waiting to see what you have up for sale. Not too far of a drive either.

Also in southern NH, I would suggest an EM, in particular a single-player one, all the mechanical switches and relays make for a more visual debug.
