Sound Stage and Spin Out, $300 each (firm)
La Plata, Maryland
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/703557323646203
OP:I am listing these pinball machines for my father. They are from the 1970s I believe. They both turn on but they need some work. He is asking $300 each. He is firm on the price.

Wish I was closer, as they say. It's a good deal for this overpriced, crazy market right now. Someone go get em!

#19902 3 years ago

Too bad that spin out is in MD

Why is everything cheap on one coast line or the other? Meanwhile I’m stuck Texas where half a broken pinball machine is still sky high?

I’ve been wondering the same thing! You folks are finding project machines for $300 and think even that is high. The projects I’ve come across are higher, although I did negotiate a very good deal on a set of three Hi-Hands.

Why are there so many good cheap projects for sale in Texas, while up here on the east coast supply is drying up?

I've seen more games in TX in the past month or two I'd buy than I have here

I always hear there's no pins in Kansas...but I've seen and bought many already , way more than I see in San Antonio

Have fun folks!!!!

I asked him if he had better pictures. And if the back glass was flaking. And also asked if the displays worked.

We'll see if he replies.

Nice! I keep seeing $50-$300 projects all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland etc and Southern California. Hell I even see free on occasion, yet here in Texas especially Dallas, they rarely come up and are $650+ if they work easily $1k. Texas is big y’all so sometimes a trip to new york may be a faster trip then across Texas! Ok exaggerating a bit! Also seems all the cool dudes with the parts stashes are also in those same states. just whining don't mind me. Carry on!

United flip games are actually not bad players, relative to the period of course. Never seen this one before, art is great, as are most United pins of the 40s.

#19925 3 years ago

Good deal, despite the "Silver" lower cabinet is a metal-rail "Show Boat" cabinet.

The only Pinsider that owns this title is the seller and there are no locations to play it. I hope that someone buys this.

There was a BAB head posted for sale 2 days earlier 47 minutes away from the body that sold fairly quickly. Probably because those balls are worth some money. PBR sells them for $30 a piece

This is an INCREDIBLE game. I would love to see a pinsider get it and fully restore it.

It belongs in a museum.

Me too. They're not hard to get going with two caveats ... (1) It's important that the coils are mostly there and not smoked, since it's hard to source many of them or find viable substitutes, and (2) there will be NO CHANCE to find a RED SHOES schematic anywhere. I do have a few schematics I could potentially share copies of with the buyer of this game that would help on general circuitry, since most United pins from 1945 to 48 were very similar (1947 Mexico and 1948 Serenade).

Eight Ball Deluxe LE

Not really a project. TNT reconditioned at a HELL of a good price, if you like the fugly cabinet.

I bought a Robo War that was reconditioned by TNT. They touched up the red cabinet in many places with a different shade red using s large house paint brush. You could see deep brush strokes in the paint.

I just fixed a TNT “reconditioned” cabinet. It was horrible. Latex paint with a thick brush. Looked worse than the pic could show.

That looks awesome.
And why would someone bother touching stuff up like that? It be better off left alone. Super faded paint vs new paint never looks right.

They also have some EM games like Basketball Champ is very sought after.

Genie in Cape Cod, $300.

Emailed. We'll see what happens here. Beast of a game to move.

Always funny to me what does and does not find itself crossposted/crosssearched in the Boston/Cape Cod/Central Mass/North Shore CLs. Find some of my best deals that way.

I was thinking about it but those early Gottlieb electronic noises..

I think Genie can be converted to chimes. That would be a huge improvement.

Personally I love the "equal temperament arpeggio" featured Genie/Hulk and other Sys1 sound board sets. I'd take it over the boring collect sounds of Spiderman or Count Down

Lucky Hand is sold. I managed to snag it early this morning. That's the first pick-up I've done in over a year. Felt good to be out on the hunt again.

Star Explorer has $150 on it.

The house itself is quite the place: https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/14-Ridge-Rd_Troy_NY_12180_M44761-50303

It was a good race. Forceflow went to the basement, I went to the side room. I realized my mistake after 15 steps. When I raced downstairs and saw it Force had the tag in his hand. Well played, good sir
