Welcome thedefog!

Quoted from thedefog:

Nothing to do in that game.

Yes, but even with the low IPDB ratings there are those who love their Jubilee/Darling.

POSSIBLE SCAM AD

Manufacturer: Bally
Game/Type: Melody Roll / Electro-mechanical (EM)
Month/Year: December 1947
Production: Unknown
Cost: $250.00
Location: (Marion) San Antonio, TX
Link/Contact: sanantonio.craigslist.org link

OP: 1948 Bally Melody Roll pinball machine, it worked since I've had it but it has been in storage for the last 5 years, it is currently in an unknown operating condition; there are wiring schematics the will go with the machine. I just moved to TX and while I like the machine as a decoration, it is too large for this house.

It is my understanding that this model machine is the first flipper machine for Bally, and is an unusual anti- gambling edition.

Captive_Ball, that looks like one of those scam ads. But thanks for posting it anyway.
I've never seen the Bally Melody Roll before and according to the IPDB it is a Roll-Down game, also which I have never heard of - a unique and rare game.

Made a mention on the top of the Big Ben post. The Melody Roll does look interesting. The cab looks to be factory, surprisingly, but it would have had stenciled art from factory...unlike this example.

#1859 3 years ago

I don't know which would be worse... getting scammed $80 for a Big Ben, or having a Big Ben. :p

Projects headed ALLENTOWN SHOW in a coulpe days:

After several weeks of trying with little luck because of other things going on in my life I finally have a list of machines headed to the indoor flea market area. Most are projects and are priced accordingly. I am really not interested in selling anything before the show and prefer buyers look at machines before I make a deal with anyone. But if you are seriously interested in any of these machines I will hold machines till 1 PM Friday to give you a chance to see a machine before unloading that specific title from the trailer.

EM's Include:

Bally Circus - nice backglass, some playfield wear, stepper needs coil and needs other work $275
Bally Dixieland (zipper flippers) decent overall & semi working $475
Bally Time Zone - whitewood playfield - needs backglass & work $375
Chicago Coin Beatnicks project $275
Chicago Coin Festival project $375
Gottlieb Dodge City project - decent cosmetically $600
Gottlieb Jacks Open - fair cosmetically (likely around $500)
Gottlieb Jet Spin $350
Gottlieb Mini Cycle (repainted playfield) $275
Williams Swinger $300

SS's Include:

Bally Nitro Groundshaker -- project (likely $800)
Bally Silverball Mania -- project (likely $450 to $500)
Bally Space Invaders -- working with playfield wear - nice backglasses (likely $800)
Gottlieb Force II - likely already sold (bringing it to show to someone, but if they don't take it I will put it out for sale)

Also bringing about 25 to 30 backglasses (some super nice and some wall hangers), used playfield glass ($5 a sheet), assorted wooden legs for woodrails (some sets & some singles), back doors from a few EM's, coin boxes, etc.

this was one of the originals for pinball machines to have 4 players.
Among enthusiasts, it is also considered a very challenging play, due to the tic-tac-toe game in the center of the playfield, that is also involved.
It has been sitting in garages of family members from the late 70's until 2003 when I got it. I've had some repairs done to it and got a lot of it working. All lights were functional as well and bumper reactions. what wasn't fixed was the inaccurate scoring and just giving some players 1 ball and some 3 balls. currently, I think a fuse has gone out and I just font have the time to mess with it and am moving out of state as well.
This will also come with a box of extra springs for pull, extra white bumper bands and extra paddles.
backboard glass is in decent condition as well for its age and has little sun damage. the paint is all original, as well"

Why can't some of the good stuff be near me? Instead, we get this:

omaha.craigslist.org link

OP says: I have some pinball machine projects that just came out of a storage building. They all need work but I think you could save probably 3 of the machines. They also would be great if someone needed parts. All playfields seem to be in pretty good shape. I prefer to sell all of the pinball parts for 600 but would sell individually if someone needed just one game.

James Bond Cabinet is in great shape and playfield only has 2 small spots of wear No glass lockdown bar or backglass 300

Lucky Ace playfield and Nice head. No cabinet or backglass 100

Wild Card- playfield is nice and head is nice- cabinet needs replaced. Has water damage- Has glass and lockdown bar but no backglass 125

Olympic hockey- great playfield has everything but backglass Head has some water damage 175

Lost world- cabinet only no head. No glass or lockdown bar. cabinet and playfield pretty decent though if you needed one. 100.00

Would also trade for arcade games.

600 if you want everything.

Doesn't look TOO too bad, though you can't see much detail. I've been on the hunt for space-themed games, so I'd be all over that (probably with a slightly lower offer) if it weren't halfway across the country...
