It was hazy out here recently from the smoke being blown across the country by the jet stream.

Saw this, are you sure it’s in NY? Seems to be across the border.
Not sure if this thread is just for whole pins or parts also? Anyone have LH and RH plastic ramps for Demolition Man? I’ve got a new center ramp, but other two are busted up pretty bad.

You could try this thread: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/trade-your-plastics
Title of the thread has "trade" in it but I see people buying and selling plastics and sometimes ramps in there.
Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:Saw this, are you sure it’s in NY? Seems to be across the border.
Yup, NY. Grand Island. It's like the Delaware of islands.

This is really meant for posting project pins, and occasionally other project bowlers/pucks, em games if they're cheap. I pm you some forums and Facebook groups where you can search when I get home in an hour.

I played a gig once on Grand Island and a senior citizen was talking to us after the gig saying that the island was actually a nuclear waste dump once back in the 50s.. I have no idea if that's true or not but he was very adamant that it was and we shouldn't be playing there haha

seller:
Up for sale are 30+ Pinball machine and Bingo Machine backglasses.
These are NOT in perfect shape, due to their age, some have flaking paint, some have color faded areas, some have chipped corners, but they could still be used as replacements if yours are broken or missing.
My plan was to practice airbrush restoration on them but we are relocating.
These will look good Game Room Wall Art / Man Cave decorations as they are vintage artwork and cool graphic art that is over 40 years old.
All for 100.00
for sale are 10 used Pinball Playfield glasses.
They are used but look decent to use on a Pinball machine that is missing the glass.
Dimensions are 21 inches width by 43 inches length
$25.00 for all 10 pieces. (new ones sell for $80-$100)

Raven is one of the worst games ever made. Of course, at 300...i would go for it, lol. I'm sure I would play it for a month...fix it up...and sell it though.

I wouldn’t buy it for $300. I bought one for a little less, missing speaker panel plastic, bad sound board, bad 5V regulator, cracked pins on daughter board and some other minor issues.
I bought a new regulator, sound board, Piggy Deux, and finally found a speaker panel plastic, which took like forever to find.
I played the game for awhile and it’s not a bad shooter. The layout is fun. But it’s the ruleset that makes the game awful. You spend all your time trying to drop the ramp, which is the hardest shot on the game. When you finally hit the ramp you get..... no, not multiball, it’s a single ball game. You get a CHANCE (50-50) at bonus multiplier. A chance! I can shoot the lanes up top all day and get bonus multiplier, why would I want to work so hard to MAYBE get a multiplier? Ugh.
I tried to sell the game for $700 and it wouldn’t sell. It wouldn’t even sell for $600. Keep in mind this is a complete and fully working, shopped game. Finally sold it for $550. Never again.

For solid states those games are irredeemably bad. At least Raven’s got some stuff to do with a decent layout and the code can be improved.

It wouldn't be a stretch if it were true. I personally have never heard that, and I live in the area. In the 40's the Manhattan Project had a facility no more than three miles from the bridge onto Grand Island. This facility did all kinds of work developing the atom bomb.
There have been clean up projects at and around that facility.
It also was adjacent to a large town park and golf course. My friends and family played there all the time year round. There was a small creek that flowed through the place, with the origin of the creek leading from the Manhattan Project buildings. It had this black water that bubbled up all kinds of smelly oily crap.
Knowing what I know now I would have stayed clear of that, but at the time we were ignorant of the dangers.
There were many times where I ended up in there inadvertently falling into the creek while sledding down a large hill there.

Sounds like you're describing tonawada or south buffalo. I was working at praxair for a bit. The guys i was working with told me how one day their building was relocated and the company had removed 6' of soil around all of the nearby buildings due to radioactivity. Who knows how much they had been exposed to while working in the basement.
