Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:

Ready aim fire is worth like $200. It’s the lowest rated Gottlieb sys80a

Which is about what I think it sold for when this person bought it (or I mean I refuse to think that a really rare game went up for sale, sold, and then ANOTHER one shows up in a 60 mile radius by coincidence....)

#18402 3 years ago
Quoted from radial_head:

That was a quick flip.....
Never bought form this person, but have gone back and forth with them on a few sales. Seems like this person gets to every steal before I can.

Sounds like the flipper in Enfield CT. He brags that he’s bought 140+ pins/arcades year to date and flips everything that he buys, sometimes the same day that he buys it.

Yeah. I will say that Brian seems to at least get a lot of finds that aren't listed. I think he's got a pretty well known reputation of "guy who buys pins" and they kind of just come his way in a lot of ways (and posts lots of "pinball wanted" ads and what not). I will say, Brian has never beat me to a deal I've wanted, but that guy in Rhode Island has.

#18404 3 years ago
Quoted from jrpinball:

Does anyone have any information on this game which was offered for auction yesterday? Anybody here snag it?

I guess not, huh? I have a decent parts one which probably has a better playfield than the one auctioned.

I have purchased a few from Brian, always been square with me.

Yeah I'm not a fan of people who just grab all the local games and then sell them back but I can't remember the last time Brian ever picked up a game I'd seen for sale. Idk where he's finding them all. Happy to buy from him when he digs up something I've been looking for though

The man is a machine. He told me the shit he does. He’s basically 24/7/365 for pinball so he’s well known as “this guy buys your shit” so he gets A LOT of calls.
At first I thought it sounded cool but that level of dedication is insane.
Great seller tho and his prices are fair!

#18408 3 years ago

Just putting this out there: I'm looking for a Meteor project with a blown out playfield. (Or someone who wants a populated Meteor playfield).

What's a fair price for a decent condition Meteor playfield...(missing the pop bumper above the playfield, 9 plastics and the spinner)...everything is there below the playfield...drop targets are mixed type but all there. Might have a line on a decent set of plastics so a suggestion with and without plastics would be appreciated. some slightly cupped inserts but wouldn't materially impact game play. All graphics are there.

Quoted from tomdrum:

A couple projects on Mr Pinball this AM:

Super Circus, 1957 Gottlieb: 350
Project. Good cabinet & playfield. Bad backglass. Needs plastics. No back door.
Chuck
[email protected], Johnston, Rhode Island 02919

if by chance anybody buys this and is looking to part it out I would be interested in the playfield

I had a Darts, rugged setup for sure.

I have a "shelf Style" cabinet on my Double Barrel. I like the looks of the various cabs and legs in these older games.

Yeah, a project to dig it out from the storage room! But for $3,500 it should be better than fully restored!

I was going to offer $35.00, but think that would be too much.

Pecos started this thread 5 years ago. I love it. The best thread on Pinside!

He's been great to deal with, but now I see his account is deactivated. Does anyone know what happened to him?

I miss him as well, I posted a bump on his operator thread a couple of days ago, got no response from anyone.

The way I see it, when I stand in San Jose and look east, half the country is to the left, and half to the right. You being in NE makes you a clown.

Jokers to the right.

How you guys doing in San Jose with all the fires and whatnot going on? Holding up ok? I’ve got an old flame still living there I think of every once in a while.

Was 2-3 weeks of bad smoke. Doing much better yesterday and today. I can see the mountains again!! For the most part people wear masks and I don’t hear of COVID around here. Hope you’re doing well out there!

Seasons getting slightly colder in mornings, that’s about it. Of course I live in the Northern edge of the civilized areas, so lots of 100+ foot pines.

We actually got to go on a bike ride last night without choking on ash. I can see Mount Diablo now. Well, it will be visible until some other moron decides to light a fire during wildfire season......
