Quoted from Dono:

GTB Buccaneer on FB... price isn't great, but its worth a look, just because of the cabinet.. it's a sample game, and it's in supreme shape based on the few pix posted... , grey muted colors don't match up with sample or production versions, but it is a sample game based on the cab images... just another example of fading on the cabinet colors, or could this be a proto? No serial no. on the front of cab... interesting.

The back glass looks pretty good. Most pics I have seen on SD are a flaky waste.

Could be, but it looks a little muted; like that paint could be old... can't really tell from the photos though.

This is for a good cause. This is the Pacific Pinball Museum selling some of their copies. The funds will go to keeping their Annex of games funded so that they can have all that storage.

Larry Z. is helping to sell completed games as well. When you click on this one, look at the others that wedgeheadjunkie has.

Pinsider wedgeheadjunkie is the one who posts pins for sale on Pinside. I think they sell their duplicate pins to museum members first, and then sell to the general public. I think you have to donate some work/time to the museum to become a member.

Shoot,I would love to donate some work/time, I've been there a few times before as a visitor, but dunno they're probably close now because of you know what.

Thanks for posting, but It’s a flipperless game and we usually don’t post them in this group. I posted in a woodrail group on Facebook.

i just searched on a lark and there it was. I imagine at the asking price it will end up in a dumpster soon enough. It looked like it might be something to pursue since it was one of Williams' first pins. I hope someone saves it.

I’ve bought 3 Pins from Florida and all 3 were a horrible mess. And only 1 was worth the time I’ve put into it.
I’ve learned my lesson, good luck to anyone who gets this!
Termites, GIANT wolf spiders, mud daubers are all depressingly common in anything wood down there.

These are the worst types of projects and posts. "Hi I have this game that is semi working & you can have it for close to full price but I haven't tinkered with it too much yet but you can have it for top $$$$" Lol. Get bend. Even the facebook comments are against his price. Pass.

Above average condition, early production, redone boards, plays 100%, already shopped playfield. Probably worth 1500+ fixed up? price doesn't seem bad to me, it's barely even a project

Then why doesn't the seller fix it up if it's barely a project and sell it for fifteen hundo? I'll tell you why, because it's worth about $1000, maybe $1200. They made a shit ton of jungle lords! So I disagree with your assessment.

They only made 100 of the red cabinet version before switching production to the blue version. The red version had a different backglass. Both games are boring to play, but the red cabinet version is collectible. Check out the pictures on ipdb.org.

WHAT! I want you to know that this game, Jungle Lord, is the only pinball to be
featured in the opening credits to Prince's Purple Rain move!
Yah, I know it is only for a nanosecond, but still...

Jungle Lords have almost doubled in price over the last year or so. Five years ago I was happy to sell a nice one for $750 now you have a heck of a time finding a Jungle Lord project machine for that same $750. The last 4 or 5 I have looked at were all north of $1500 and all were the normal Blue cabinet. I don't know that a red cabinet actually adds a ton of value but I do know $950 isn't a bad price for that machine. I have owned close to a dozen of them and it is still one of the favorites in our collection.

Just sold a nice blue one and at 1100 took a few weeks. Not seeing 1500+ for red.

The game is actually super fun when it's playing right. I've converted multiple haters after they played mine and I explained the rules properly. Best code on any system 7 imo. Out here it's hard to find too, I know many people looking for one.

Or maybe because they don't want the game? "got this as part of a bulk trade and don't want to deal with it" is a common occurrence. Not everyone is in this for profit. Even if we assume it's worth just $1200, what does the game need at this point? Sound board? <$100 at worst. Maybe a flipper rebuild? The numbers still add up

If this game was posted on CL as "jungle lord pinball, won't turn on" in someone's basement for $600 it'd be gone instantly, and then someone would have to deal with: fixing all the boards, wondering if displays work or are outgassed, wondering if coils are melted, etc. This game has easily $200+ put into it from that condition, plus you know all those common failure points are good. Add that up and you're at 800-900+.

The numbers add up if you don't mind being in the range of one that had no issues in the first place. If I am buying a project it needs to potentially be cheaper than not dealing with someone else's headache.

Hey I hear ya. I guess what I was thinking is for me personally if I put in the time to diagnose what's wrong with the game, Id just fix it and sell it for closer to full price.

We could debate the nuances of jungle Lord's, red blue other, and the pricing ad nauseum. So let's forget I said anything.

Back to the projects.

I was surprised to see a TSPP like that. It could be storm salvage though. No way that's worth the asking price.
