Quoted from Isochronic_Frost:

My second game ever was my Baby Pac-Man which was the floor model from Fun-Spot. The guy lived about 20 minutes from them. It took me 5 hours of driving both ways. THE WORST MISTAKE. I’d absolutely take the Mass Turnpike and drive UP to NH. Don’t go through VT and NH, it takes hours and hours and the drive is exhausting.
It will probably almost double the miles but still be faster if you take the Mass Pike.
To be fair I’ve already reached out to the seller because Space Riders is one of the slightly interesting Atari games.

I thought it was pretty good game;for its time.
I liked it.

First timers, hell yeah

Well everyone be sure to welcome Hairball to the pinball collecting collective! He came by this morning and picked up that project tri zone! His first machine!

He's super excited to get started on it! Great guy too.

Deal was done for a few extra Hamilton's and two bottles of Minnesota wine!

seller:
MAME arcade game in Battlezone cabinet
condition: good
make / manufacturer: Atari
model name / number: Battlezone
size / dimensions: 2 ft x 3 ft x 7 ft
I've got an original Battlezone cabinet from 1980 that was converted to a MAME unit. Side panel art is still in very good shape. The CRT is broken and needs replaced (it's just an old PC CRT with the case removed, not an arcade screen). Coin returns are wired up to provide credits. Slide out drawer w/ keyboard. Somebody put a lot of work into this, but it's a bit of an albatross. Free to anyone who can pick it up in a Walnut Creek. It's on casters and easily movable.

Another friend, actually. He is liquidating an arcade. I suggest asking him about other pins and arcades as well.

#17871 3 years ago

Tempting but the one I have is pretty sweet and I'll leave it for someone else to pickup. I'll never get back to restoring Flash Gordon and working on my Laser War topper or shaker on Torpedo Alley if I keep picking up random pins.

Bad enough ones on my want list keep popping up. Thank you for thinking of me though!

I looked at pics, yikes if all the boards are shot. Would be hard pass at 1k and it needs cab.

Frankly looking at the pictures again, $500 parts machine. EVERYTHING has rust on it and the displays not so hot either.

#egg-head
Location: Sacramento, CA
Price: $200
OP: Clicked Used Fair because they made me choose something. This is not in fair condition. But, it does light up and start a game (after I worked on it for a couple of weeks). I also have a new, (used) set of plastics as the old ones were mostly broken. Have also cleaned the inside of the cabinet, and play field and have some new replacement playfield parts. Bought as a project game, keep having other things get in the way of finishing it. Backglass is in poor condition, cabinet has been repainted - don't know condition of original paint below repaint. Top and bottom aprons need repaint or replacing. And as you can see the play field needs paint touch up. But for the price, it would be a good project to make into a decent players game.

Location: Joelton, TN
Price: $350
OP:Nice machine, I bought it a few years ago , ball return will not kick ball back over , I have never taken the time to try and fix it, I now am moving and just don’t have time for it . You can manually kick ball over and continue to play. Other than that that’s all I know about the machine

Thanks again @tomahawkjim!
Pretty jazzed to be a member of the pin owner club. I’ll be posting pics and progress separately to keep from cluttering up this thread.

Really amazing that someone here stepped up to help a random noob get his foot in the hobby.

I was talking to him yesterday. Trying to get a better pic of the boards, he said the metal plate behind the boards is completely rusted. I think i'd max out at $500 in this condition.

Losing that head was the best thing that ever happened to that PF.
$200 is harsh, but if someone with a Super Spin did a PF swap it would be worth it.

Stuff like this remind me of going to auctions in the 1980's.
I would scratch my head and ponder wheres the rest of game...

Crescendo, 1970 Gottlieb: 300
This beautiful vintage machine is not working at the moment. I'm not sure what is wrong with it exactly but I've been told it would be a simple fix if only someone knew how to fix it. It is currently just taking up space in our facility and we'd like to see it gone. Selling as is, where is. I have photos available.

Agreed. When it can't be played it cannot get worn out.

Finding a back box with the right set up for the score reels might be a challenge, but BG Resto makes the back glass.

Or if you have one that needs a play field just swap everything into the better cabinet.

1352 units produced.

#17893 3 years ago

I would imagine the 4-player Jet Spin (4761 units) uses the same playfield. There may be some game logic on the bottom side that's different but probably identical top side.

GTB Buccaneer on FB... price isn't great, but its worth a look, just because of the cabinet.. it's a sample game, and it's in supreme shape based on the few pix posted... , grey muted colors don't match up with sample or production versions, but it is a sample game based on the cab images... just another example of fading on the cabinet colors, or could this be a proto? No serial no. on the front of cab... interesting.

Quoted from FatPanda:

I've got a Spanish Eyes I'm looking to sell. Rough cab, back panel on the cab might need replacement, doesn't have a backbox back panel either. Backglass is also rough, BUT everything has been gone through and it plays like a champ. Very snappy and fast. PF and plastics are in good shape. I would consider this a semi-project. Let me know if interested.

Now in the Marketplace for $400.
