Quoted from Murphdom:

So I asked about this and they told me that they already had someone picking it up but if I wanted to pay more it for it it was mine. If your the seller and you’re on pinside and you probably are judging by the pictures please be an honest seller.

Had this same situation last week with the Space Shuttle. At first he was practically giving it away... then once found out there was interest and it actually had value.... it became a sotherbys auction.

There's gotta be a strategy to avoid having that happen. Maybe just say your interested and you'll pay for it right now via Venmo or Paypal. Regardless, it's very dishonest behavior when a seller does that. A seller should either do their research first, or put it up for the price they set and that's it.

4 Vintage Machines for sale.
$150 each or $600 for all. Looks like 3 of them are bingo style, and the other is Cyclone

that cyclone!!! wow, rare early 50's woody.

#17454 3 years ago

I'd give them $600 just for the Cyclone if I were anywhere near them.

Damn I should have researched how rare that game was before posting it on here! Could have been a great trade up machine for me, lol.

Or at least do the crappy fb post of "how much do you think its worth?" "I'm thinking of buying it."

Yeah. I mean there is some wear on the playfield, but these are usually blown out. I'd pick it up.

It’s also listed on Pinside, I remember seeing the ad.
I guess he snapped the little tab off the lockdown bar.
Why are they so fragile on Capcoms?

They made their cabinets out of particle board, so cheap lockdown bars would be consistent with their manufacturing “quality.”

If the sliding mech gets gunked up, it doesn't slide and the tab starts to bend. Force it and it snaps.

Capcoms have the best speaker panels though. That hinge is awesome.

Not to start a war but nobody has good cabinets in my experience.
Sys3’s have “the least shitty” but the only GOOD cabs, are the ones you (or a good cabinet maker) builds themselves with real joints.

Some are better than others.

Worst are Alvin G's. On the standard pins the paint comes off if you get it damp. The cabs tend to fall apart so its common to see the heads have screws holding them together.

Have not had issue with capcom cabs. After Alvin G I'd say Heighway cabinets. They are heavy, but impression is they wont take much abuse. 3rd would be Spinball since the paint comes off if wet.

It's not that far from me but I already own Alien Poker - it looks and plays GREAT with the repo playfields from Peter in Hamburg

I would get it, but I know the shipping cost would be insane. Probably as much, if not more than the machine itself.

Figure $500-600 to ship back/Sti. $300 for decals. And you have to source a head, boards and head wiring. Way to much cost and effort for a $2000 average game. You’re better off with a local pin that’s complete but needs work.

Yeah I agree, that's why I'm skipping it after thinking it over.
