On Mr Pinball today...
Indepence Day, 1996 Sega: $1000.00
This is going to be a project pin. Lots of cleaning, several repairs, or could be used as a parts pin. I just purchased several jukeboxes and a couple of pinballs from an older retired operator. This will be in as-is condition, I have not even plugged it up. How ever it is complete. Playfield is not worn but has 1 ramp broken. Alien head left top is gone very mall portion. 3 original blue flippers. Pinball was stored in a damp garage and the metal shows corrosion. I have pictures if interested. I use to sell a lot of pins on this site, just retired and found a few more from some old operator friends. This will be cash sale only, pickup only no shipping. I am located just 2 miles from I-75 in Richmond, KY.

OP:Project Condition, the previous owner did cabinet work and painting and it is ready for the application of new art with a stencil kit (not included). All of the parts appear to be there except the door to the head and the coin box. The back glass has no cracks, although the artwork has been touched up on the inside. I cannot get it to start a game with the credit button, but can manually put it into game mode and all switches and flippers work. It could be a quick fix for someone more patient and knowledgeable. I would keep it and getting it going if I didn’t already have other projects and didn’t need the space. $200 OBO, low ballers will be ignored.

meh, I made a offer but this batch is not worth $11k. not enough meat on the bone
I'll throw these two projects out there since I've got a backlog of them right now. Williams El Toro and Bally Champ. Both kinda play but have ball count issues that I haven't attempted to tackle yet. Also have a William San Francisco in storage I could add to the right deal - similar condition to El Toro - cabinet painted white though). Anyone interested in a 2 (or 3) for 1? I'm about as ecclectic as it gets with my pinball tastes - so feel free to try me.

Selling them as a lot they are worth around $5k (give or take a few dollars). Seller is looking for a sucker dumb enough to buy them - "fishing" not selling.
Some of you guys will say I am too low but I have bought and sold over 600 machines in the past 10 or 12 years and I know what the deal is when you see groups of machines for sale like this. If you are buying them to fix up and keep MAYBE $7500 for the lot but if you are hoping to buy them and keep one or two machines from the lot good luck getting out from under the rest at anything more than about $5k.
I am sure someone is "crazy" enough to overpay for them but it will not be me!

The more I look at it, the more I completely agree. At its core, it's mostly MPU-100 and System 1 machines, with an EM and a couple decline-era Bally machines thrown in. Not exactly cream of the crop for the era and probably been sitting a LONG time. The only one I'd say is even interesting is the Vector. If you've got plenty of time on your hands and are lucky with the condition you could MAYBE break even on that deal, but I doubt it. Most likely a couple of them will probably be 'decent', most will need some work, and a few will be basket cases. The more desired titles will sell quick, a few will linger, and a couple will grow roots and never leave. After a while you'll dump the last few for cheap to be rid of them and be down about $1,500 plus a hundred hours of of work put into them.

that is funny, I offered $5k.
Quoted from woody76:that is funny, I offered $5k.
At $5k it would likely work out. With an e-bay lot like that you just never know, he may accept it outside of e-bay for cash.

Quoted from woody76:that is funny, I offered $5k.
They maybe worth 5k but I was gonna offer 3k.
For Mata, drac, ek, and magic you'll spend a great deal of time to fix/replace the displays, PS, and driver baords. Not to mention all of them probably have battery puke. Maybe they are worth $500 a piece as projects but that doesn't include hauling them away too. Lol. Good luck to whoever grabs those.
Quoted from woody76:that is funny, I offered $5k.
$5k is "spot on" for that lot and at $5k your cost of picking them up needs to be under $500 for the math to work. According to my math if all of them are in "better than average" condition & complete once you get them working 100% you are looking at $11k to $12k depending on how quickly you want to get them sold.
But anyone with any sense knows these will not be in "better than average condition". So buying them to resell as-is you will be lucky to get $6000 to $6500 out of the lot. If you fix them up you will have at least 20 days of labor into them so after parts you will be lucky to come out making much for your labor.
My dad always said "any fool can find work if they are willing to work for nothing!" Paying over $5k puts you into that area from what I am seeing.

Quoted from Skidave:Got to love the ad; big price - little info.
If you do the math, you certainly come out on the short end of the stick. I had hoped he'd split but no dice. I certainly didn't think anyone here would offer to buy it at his price.
Quoted from too-many-pins:$5k is "spot on" for that lot
I don't want to argue with a man named too-many-pins about pricing but the amount of battery puke and faulty lamp sockets in that lot should bring it down 2k, no?
Plus hauling 11 machines, storing them while you work on them, explaining all of this to your wife. I'm finna offer 3k, maybe they'll accept the 5k offer then.
