A couple years ago I got one over near Annapolis thanks to this thread. I suggest you take a look at xsvtoys MC thread here: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/em-pinball-machine-complete-circuit-description-2-bally-monte-carlo . I got through my project with much help following his earlier Bon Voyage thread but now the Monte Carlo thread exists so you've got a 1 to 1 match! I like the game but the outlanes can be brutal.

I've purchased from seller before. Easy deal.
If I didn't just buy something else I'd be all over this.

You're the man...thank you!! It's my lucky day. I took quick glance at that thread ...kudos to xsvtoys for a thorough write up. Game actually ended up working fine after I soldered 1 loose wire. Although backbox lights not on. Should clean up nicely...in pretty good shape as it sat in owners basement for over 35 years. White rubber dust everywhere....! Check out the high scores from 1981/82 written on the head. "....beat that...." lol
20200417_230334 (resized).jpg20200417_210124 (resized).jpg20200417_210115 (resized).jpgI finally brought home that whirlwind I purchased from that University of Virginia auction. My wife walked by and said oh did you buy another NIB game. That is how nice this thing is, unbelievable. I told her no, it is 30 year old game and she was like OK, but you usually drag home trash. LOL. put new batteries in it and fired it up, plays 100% not errors and everything works.

I would grab it if it was local to us. What can you buy for $150 these days? Looks like something very different and seems like a steal of a deal at that price!

Pretty darn good actually. I soldered one wire and the game now plays 100%. Posted some pics earlier in the thread...took it apart today and will start cleaning it up.

I did seriously consider it. But EM machines and I rarely get along, and I've got too many things going on right now. I could probably fit one or two more somewhere, but I'm at the point where I need to stick with things I'm actually interested in.

OP: What you see is what you get. Was functional when put in storage, I figure someone would use it for parts.

Ugh.
Not even a tarp I'll bet.
Still savable potentially. My Hot Tip EM was the same way. Guy moved to a new house, didn't know you could take the head of and couldn't get it through the door so he just... left it outside. And the remnants of a hurricane hit NE that weekend Agreed to buy it, and he asked if he wanted me to clip the wires to the head, or if I'd be taking it in once piece
Had to get a new backglass, replace the bottom and back wall of the cabinet, and replace the framing for the head. Playfield and mechs inside were still perfectly fine.

It worked and they left it outside? These must be the type of folks who wear their mask below their nose and walk around.

StratDoc You have an ad looking for a Big Shot/Hot Shot playfield. I see some wear around the bonus value above the flippers, but the ball rack looks nice. Maybe someone in Denver can pick this up for you, strip the playfield and ship it to you. They could sell the coin door, lockdown bar, playfield parts etc. to recoop their time and effort. Just a thought.
