WHOA who’s willing to hook me up!?? I want it. Can someone in Texas snag this sucker...
Never mind it was sold...

Quoted from edward472:

RockMakers
Bally
Location:Nashville, TN
Price: $500
OP: 1968 pinball machine. Needs a little work as legs are a little rusty but the glass is good, all rubber bands have been replaced, bulbs have been replaced
too. It works! But I can’t get it out of test mode. I have original paperwork and manual. You must move it!

Someone should get this thing. Rockmakers is ridiculously fun for a late 60’s pin.

Thought about it but would have to be in the $250 range for me to go gobble it up

Mid 70's (around 1975) Gottlieb Spin Out pinball machine in decent condition. The machine works fine but can use a little tuning up. Its been in storage for 20 years or so. The proceeds will go to a non-profit organization. I have the keys and wiring diagram for the machine.

I have a 1972 Bally El Toro Pinball machine. It was originally purchased by my grandma brand new. Been in the family since. I inherited it. It needs a little TLC to get working again, but not much. I just don't know what I am doing or have the time.
I have put $200 due to condition and quantity of units still in existence but, any offer will be considered.

For auction here.

https://www.estatesales.net/IL/Ottawa/61350/2478165

They also have a Close Encounters of the Third Kind back glass (lots of flaking) and a Space Invaders cocktail…

#15715 4 years ago
Quoted from bluespin:

Estate sale company advertised that they would not be giving out prices early. Then they went and sold the pins early.

Not true. Nothing was sold early. I purchased both at 10am when the Estate Sale opened.

Not really a project as it appears to be in terrific shape and super clean - 1979 Allied Leisure EROS ONE Cocktail pin for $750 or best offer (Georgia). Lots of pictures, inside and out:

I've got a bally captain fantastic with paint on the cab (fully working, however), and a project Williams millionaire (almost working) for sale. I can bring to TPF if necessary.

PM if interested.

Indeed, I got a Darling EM for free, which I passed on to a friend. And a free Joker Poker solid state that I fixed and put in a friend's house.
And I've seen a few other free ones go by on craigslist around here over the years.

you are one of the good ones buddy

#15726 4 years ago

Agreed! Guys like Colsond are why I come to pinside, there's some very good people around here.

And yeah, there are free machines from time to time, I have actually seen a couple here and elsewhere. But I'm also not greedy. If it's not a machine I'm interested in, I've passed on a few to let them get into the hands of people who did legitimately want them.

I found an Atari Middle Earth at the curb that was being thrown away. In amazing condition too. Was HUO for 35 years after a 3 year stint in a bowling alley.

I talked to the contact over at WVU. Seems they didn't realize that Hurricane didn't work until after they had originally listed it, which is why they pulled it down in the first place. Guess they just decided to sell them as a project pair.

16 minutes in I clicked and it said “ad removed”. But it looks like he was asking $10,500 for it? That’s ridiculous.

#15735 4 years ago

Not for the faint of heart. Hacked power wiring that still needs repair, unknown state of the boards (some resistor pack burns), and fully disassembled top of playfield. Seller is 1900 into it.... Doesn't seem to be in a huge hurry to sell.

On a positive note, playfield and cab do look pretty nice, parts have been cleaned and tumbled and seller says he has a full picture set of the disassembly to help whoever buys it get it back together properly.

Colson: have you joined the Pinball Enthusiasts group? I think I got a similar message before I joined it..... After I did, link worked.

On a BF...no thanks. I’ve shopped and disassembled two of them, it’s a complicated game. Kind of game you have to disassemble yourself to reassemble it.

I remember a few years ago there was one sitting on CL that a guy had disassembled and it was in boxes. I walked from that one. No way in hell to know all the parts are there. I’d buy it for $1400 and give it a whack.

I’m not on Facebook. My account is deactivated. Too many stalkers. LOL. My buddy looked at the ad for me. But with how much pin stuff is on there these days, I know I’m missing out so I’ll have to reactivate it.

Who in their right mind buys a machine where all the parts are just in a big bin and attempts reassembly?

Oh.. Wait.....

My newest project, picked up this morning after a 1am Craigslist notification and conversation. Cab is pretty rough, and missing the lockdown bar and playfield glass, but the boards are good and it flips!
Been looking for a project one for 2 years now. The people I bought it from were really nice.... But their house was maaaaaayyyyyyybbbbee a little sketchy......

Looks like a place Mike & Frank (American Pickers) would be at! I never worry too much about working people living in something like that. The guy that worries me is the guy in a 3 piece suit living in a $500k plus house. GOD only know how many people he had to walk on to get their!

Sometimes you wonder about the way some people chose to live but as long as I am not looking at something like that on my street I am a live & let live type guy.

I picked up a surf champ from a place that looked worse. The guys where super nice and packing heat on their belts all holstered up. good times.

#15747 4 years ago

Was just a very surreal morning. The lady of the house was just excited to get her kitchen back. Which, with all the other stuff in there, was roughly the size of the machine + 1 ft on either side.

And no joke: After I left, I drove a couple miles down the road and stopped at Wawa to grab a coffee. As I got out of the car, 2 guys drove up and asked me if I'd like a brand new home theater system from the trunk of their car. Seems there was an "extra" one they didn't need from the "job" they just finished......
