Quoted from nascarrey:

I think that Airball is cool! Never seen one in person...

Played one at i think clepin a few years ago, pretty cool game

#15602 4 years ago

Did a bit of sleuthing and below is the address if you can't wait until Friday to plan. Wish I could go. Cool looking game room, theater and wine closet. (pics on zillow)
1079 Baron Dr, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010

Quoted from nascarrey:

Jurassic Park
Also a Hot Tip framed back glass, Strike King shuffle bowler, restored 1955 Coke vending machine and an Airball (1971) arcade game.
For sale here...

Me- I spy a Fish Tales, Attack From Mars & Twilight zone, I messaged to see if they were for sale also and have not herd back. There is also a lot of movie collectibles. Might be worth clicking on that link and seeing everything they have....

Holy Crap, that is one heck of a house (castle) !! Guarantee this stuff won't go cheap.

#15604 4 years ago

This house sits in Philly's Main Line area (but technically not philly), it's close to, if not one of the richest areas in the state. If neighbors are going, it will be pricey. I've driven through the area dozens of times; million plus houses sitting right next to another one. They are all pretty unique and neat to look at from the road. I would be neat to see one from the inside. I personally like the tapestries and PA history stuff outside of the gameroom items.

Another thing that came into my head right away when I saw the address is there are a lot of high dollar pinball & arcade dealers in that area of PA also. Guys that sell machines for big money all the time and can afford to pay more than most of us since their customer base is people with plenty of money

There is also a Data East Jurassic Park a little farther down. Someone with a pile of money could clean up.

That machine is in rough shape.

The best part is that there are probably other enthusiasts fawning over all the other crap at this Mansion! I see some Burberry jackets.

1966 Williams Pitch & Bat $350
martinsburg.craigslist.org link
A bit of a project
Charles Town, WV

#15614 4 years ago
Quoted from bluespin:

This is a good point. When you see an ad on Facebook Marketplace, click on the sellers name to see the other items that the seller has for sale (if any).
The seller also has a Big Ben $250 and a Sound Stage for $300.

If anyone is interested in any of his pins (he previously ran a retail/repair business in the area) I can pick up and hold. He's about an hour from me.

at $50 and in the Wisconsin Market, that thing was probably gone 10 minutes after it was posted.

I sent a message last night, haven't heard anything yet one way or the other. It's a 5 hour drive, but for $50, I'm game.

I'm sure it's gone too. I even checked market place last night before I went to bed and it didn't show up for me.

EDIT: Just realized my settings was for 60 mi radius. Son of a bitch.

The market is too competitive in Wisco. If you don't see & message the seller within 5 minutes on most good deals, chances are they're gone. I bet someone messaged the seller and offered $400.

So, did you get it for that?

I probably would have, had I seen the ad yesterday. Then again I have a lot of projects already & I'm kind of over chasing. Projects like that one are always more work/money than I realize at the time.

I got a $50 pin a few days ago. It's the cheapest I've ever got one.

Facebook Marketplace for me has been borked for me for at least a month. Can't get it to show new things, only recommended order, which is useless.

My record (and my first pin) was a broken down High Speed without boards, picked up at a big arcade auction in the 90s for $1. Brought it back to a subsequent auction and sold it for $100 ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I keep hearing about people getting free pinballs. I'm due.

It's fake news. Free pins aren't real.

It's the program. If set to recommended, everything shows up but sorting through it is a pain. If I switch to newest, every listing disappears. I have to use the Find function of my browser and type in "Minutes" or "Hours" to find the latest listings. First world problems for sure.

Quick question: Say you have a single, big insert to replace on a playfield.
You don't want to do the whole playfield, you just want to replace the single insert.
And you want to have it look ok until the hardtop shows up in the next year or two.

What do you coat the insert with after sanding? (The thought is that I'd coat it first and then epoxy it into the playfield).

Sorry about asking here but I figured if anyone has done this AND would be sensitive to downstream consequences it would be someone in the project machine community.

I would just put some mylar over it once installed if you are going to hardtop it later anyways. Play away!
