OP:Downsizing and need to pass along this pinball machine to a new owner who can give it a little TLC. The paint and glass are in good shape. The relays and rubbers need some work. They sell kits to fix it up. Google it. A working model sells for $800. Need to be able to move. The legs come off but it is heavy.
Gottlieb Flying Carpet $650. Pacman cabaret $650. Both need repairs. (mine).

It's $699 on CL: denver.craigslist.org link I was thinking about it but I don't know the machine at all and have never worked on System 11's. I'll be looking for a new Bally SS project soon, tho.
^ you’re close enough, I’d go for it. System 11s are pretty easy to work on and most of them are pretty fun!

I've fixed a few of both and Sys11's are FAR better and easier to get going.

I would definitely grab it for $700. Police Force is a quirky theme and fun game. You can break it down to center ramp all day, but it's fun to play the entirety of the playfield. I'd be curious to see the bottom-side of the playfield.
Looks like the CL listing is gone, so it must have been sold.

There is a reason only 2500 sold and most of the ones you do see are in super nice condition - gameplay sucks!
About 8 years ago I was lucky enough to pick one of these up that looked like new then about 3 months later I ended up with a second one in super nice shape before we even worked on the first one. After we got it up and running I quickly realized why the playfields on these always seem to be in nice shape. No one would ever put a second quarter into this machine after playing it once on location.
In the 12 years (or so) we have been in the hobby I have actually owned 5 or 6 of them. The most I ever sold one for - shopped & 100% working - was $450 and it took me almost a year to sell it for that. Great parts machine but not a machine most people would want to add to their collection!

I suppose you may gather some flack for your statement. SI has 316 pinside owners and 175 wish listers OTOH, I got a free ride with Contact. I was not expecting that. I was figuring I was going to grab some downvotes with my coffee table statement and no one was even bothered by that

A coffee table is about the best thing to do with a Contact Pin. Originally I was really excited when I found our first one but after playing it a couple times I realized by the time the ball got down to the flippers you had time to go grab a cup of coffee. What was odd to me is the playfield is basically the same as Space Mission and Space Mission is a decent playing machine. But that super wide body just makes gameplay so so slow it is hard to say anything positive about Contact!

Sounds like Middle Earth. That was painfully slow, watching the ball do slow, 2 foot arcs for 10 seconds between flipper hits.

I've always like Space Invaders as a piece of art, rather than a game. As a game, it's not very good. As a piece of art, it's eye catching, and I enjoy looking at it. Plus, it has the nostalgia factor for me, since it was one of the main location pins available to me when I was a kid.
I imagine this is part of the reason why it appeared in the Captain Marvel movie--it's an interesting looking game.
I remember playing SI when it first came out- my fam was on vacation in Lake Tahoe- I thought the mirrored bg was awesome!
Fast forward 40 years-the Galloping Ghost Pinball has one and I played it a few weeks ago....what a dog.....but it brings back good memories of simpler times.....
