Partially re-themed Mata-Hari project. I'll keep my comments in my head on this one.
Definitely a project.

Ay Carumba!

#14806 4 years ago

On a lighter note. I do have a line on a decent stunt pilot EM game, and a williams Road Racer from that shady craigslist a while back. Verified them myself today, those are legit. Road racer is buried under stuff and backglass is very rough.

Anybody interested at all possibly? No price yet to provide.

It's mine - Originally intended to be a retheme project. Certainly would make a good virtual pin - it's a good, solid cabinet.

Atari Atarians
Deforest, WI
$250
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/259715881631402/

OP: Atari Atarians Pinball machine. It’s been stored inside but in an outdoor shed for a while. It doesn’t work but with a good cleanup would look nice and I’m sure could be restored. The glass backdrop is still in good condition. The serial number is 0029, so one of the first ones made by Atari. It’s a super cool machine, just needs someone to bring it back to life. Asking $250 or best offer

Too bad the cabinet is on the other side of the country, i have a NOS playfield that would fit right in!

The horror.....the horror....

On the other hand, if this really is a functional machine, the cabinet is structurally sound, and could be picked up for around $200, this would be an excellent project to return to Mata Hari glory. A $300 hardtop would take care of the disgusting playfield (what the hell were they thinking with the BLACK paint??), a $150 stencil kit from Pinball Pimp and $40 of Krylon takes care of the cabinet, and a $300 repro backglass from CPR rounds out the major investments. If I was closer, I might've made an offer.

Game has a very nice, solid cabinet.
I can send pics. Backglass is decent 5/10 flaking on the drummers
Game mostly works and plays, operator was kind enough to leave a list of hacks done over the years which I’ve verified. Most of them are very tasteful and beneficial for troubleshooting/diagnostics. Only issue I have found is the saucers don’t work or score at all, and I haven’t dove into it.

Looking to cut down on my projects.
I’m at the point where I realize I’m no longer enjoying it and I need to cut back and focus on the games I actually want.

#14823 4 years ago

All will clean up nice.
The TX and Jungle Lord are sample games, so the playfield art is a bit different.

There was one other guy in front of me in line that was gunning for Getaway. It’s was the only working one, so priced higher.
It’s ok. I don’t need them all. We helped each other break down and load.

Were they above/below market price? I like estate sales, but never seem to see any killer deals on pinballs. Can you describe your experience with the seller on price?

Thanks and congrats

#14826 4 years ago

Nice job. Now I really need to get to your place.

#14827 4 years ago
Quoted from jeffc:

Were they above/below market price?

Sorry, I’m not going to disclose purchase price publicly for people to refer back should I decide to sell in the future.

Decent experience with the estate sale, but they’re all run differently; depends on the company doing it.

I am selling a Stern memory lane
Solid state for 450. Project, but looks really close to up and flipping.
Located in Dallas, TX or I can deliver to the Houston arcade and pinball expo. I will ship it at buyers expense as well.

Manufacturer: Data East
Game/Type: #time-machine / SS 4 Player
Month/Year: Dec 1988
Cost: $800
Location: Duluth,MN
Link: duluth.craigslist.org link
OP: In Great condition! Was working and then it was moved to my location and it only half lights up. I’m quite sure if someone knows about these machines it is an easy fix. Pick up in Duluth.

#14838 4 years ago

Not mine

WMS No Fear Project
$1850

OP:
This is a domestic restoration candidate. The boards are clean and good. The head fell down on the cabinet and broke the glass. I believe the head was hit by a forklift as ive never seen siderails this dented. The head is starting to seperate and will need repair. Backglass is good as well as display.
The playing surface will need insert decals . Ive searched and it seems they are available. Cabinet is faded. Ramp could use replacement but still intact.
This is a nice winter project for someone.
Easy pick up from my studio in Woodbury.
I will post pictures soon.

OP: For sale is a 1966 Gottlieb Pinball Machine for parts or to be restored. The end of the power cord has been cut so I don’t know if it powers up or not. The front of the cabinet does have some separation that needs to be repaired. I have a set of legs to go with it the game appears to have all parts. Asking $250

Deposit sent on it, had it listed for $200 when I got to put a deposit down so cool, the saved $50 will pay for the 7 hour round trip drive.

Those two-toned green stripes are the only thing that let that back glass get past the censors. Can't say I have ever seen a woman walking by with a cleavage like that showing.
