at $500, it sounds like a "too good to be true" deal, but you never know!

Caucasian2step tags it as the worst pin he has ever played.

The one in the video you posted plays very fast. In my opinion that alone keeps it from being the worst pin.

That would be worth a look. My initial thoughts were that it was stored outside but the cab looks decent enough? Maybe sheltered at the least?

For $150? I think so. Too bad it is on the other side of the country. I just fixed the driver and MPU on a Joker Poker last night, so I'm already in the brainspace for debugging it.

Went and looked at this today. The legs, front and left side of cab and head are painted black The pf and bg are very nice. though. Needs to be gone thru. If you go to check it out and have issues with cigarette smoke/smell be prepared. Mike

Yeah. If it was close to me, for $150.00 I would figure out how to make some space for it.

Only thing holding me back (if it's still available) is not being a part of facebook. I asked wifey to contact but she's generally not a fan of enabling "another one".

Quite a steal on that Dixieland. It may be the most innovative single-player layout Bally created during the entire decade of the 60’s.

Mini-bagatelle with dual-scoring, zipper flippers, build-up bonus kickout shot, spell the title across the backglass for a credit, rebound scoring, three oddly-angled slings with three diverters, and the longest outlane in pinball history (with a chance to save it).

#14762 4 years ago
Quoted from NicoVolta:

Quite a steal on that Dixieland.

They playfield to use a Baywatch term is immaculate aside from a few pounds of elastic dust.

One of the cleanest playfields I have owned, I'll have to take some pictures when I do the teardown.

Not a spot to be touched up or scuffed.

Gutted 'King Tut' cab and head.
Just the cabinetry, but looks to be a low numbers title, and in decent condition at at.
If it was a higher production game, and lower price, I might have gone for it for a homebrew concept I'm toying with.
But looks too nice and rare for me to do that.
-Hans

Hans,

Lessons on how to get buried in a pinball machine:
=================================

The gutted cab lives in Merrill Iowa. You could leave your home and pick up the gutted Tut cab which looks to be in good condition. From Merrill you head east southeast to Peoria Illinois. Pick up the Tut that is still together. Get home and choose the best of the two cabs to put together then sell the weaker of the two cabs for someone else's project.

For you: 530 miles one way. Gas. Motel for one night. Highway food--or fill your cooler with sandwiches.

Sometimes I get itchy for a road trip. I just want to get on the road with no particular place to go. Just to get away from the old lady and the bill collectors

I don't know if I would do this for a King Tut (but it sure is pretty), but I have road tripped way farther than 500 miles and picked a cabinet and then drove another 90 miles farther and picked up a populated play field and put the two together. OTOH, if I lived in your town, chasing a deal like this would be tempting.

The pin has been up for 9 days. I doubt the seller is fielding very many phone calls on this pin. He might get "offer friendly" real quick.
peoria.craigslist.org link

The cab has been up for 3 days. I doubt a visual pinball person would be willing to pay $200.00 for a cabinet that he has to make a road trip for. This seller might get "offer friendly", too.

siouxcity.craigslist.org link

Make on offer on the pin. If you can get the pin locked down then make an offer on the gutted cab. If you are lucky, you could get the cab on the same trip. At worst, you come home with the full machine and no gutted cab. But the gutted cab is only 90 miles from you so if you made an offer and it was accepted, you could leave home and be back in 4-5 hours.

You would be saving a rare pin. And it sure is pretty.

That’s pretty steep but if you can get something cheap and you live nearby it’s not too bad. The question to ask yourself is: do you really need it? I recently bought an online estate sale machine cheap so it was worth it.

That Garnet Valley auction is like a who's who of wedgeheads. Pretty amazing EM collection.

I'm probably 5 miles away from Garnet Valley so if anyone buys a machine from this auction and needs it picked up from the auction house and held until they can come get it (so long as I don't have to ship it for you), I'd be happy to grab it and store it in my garage on your behalf.

I like the artwork on that game, but the gameplay isn't exciting at all. You're not missing much.

I can't quite tell if it's just the lighting or not, but the backglass and cabinet seem to look somewhat faded.

OP: Atari Atarians Pinball machine. It’s been stored inside but in an outdoor shed for a while. It doesn’t work but with a good cleanup would look nice and I’m sure could be restored. The glass backdrop is still in good condition. The serial number is 0029, so one of the first ones made by Atari. It’s a super cool machine, just needs someone to bring it back to life. Asking $250 or best offe

Not disagreeing with you, still a semi working pin for $300 with a decent playfield and backglass is nothing to sneeze at either.

I'd like the challenge of getting it working 100%, not worth an 8 hour drive for me though.

Williams Full House 1966; Free; Pickup in Herndon VA, first PM gets it... she wants it out quick so if you're not all the way in don't bother.

Backglass intact but crazing in the white around the score reels
Cabinet repainted white; minor damage at bottom dealt with by installing another bottom board.
Inside mechs complete but a bit dirty / schematic inside game along with typical unuseable items and a switch adjustment tool
Playfield decent and should clean up well... minor flip scuff; original metal flips are nice.
Plastics - nice except the typical chipped and cracked middle plastic surrounding card reels.
Front door is decent no dents/chips/hacks; includes front door key.
Back door is locked and key doesn't match front... you could probably get it unlocked without drilling, it's loose but I did not try.

Access is through the front door from downstairs family room (about 10 - 12 stairs).

Awesome offer. I'm liking the C37 or ED but the 18% buyer premium (15% with cash) plus 6% sales tax makes it a bummer. Plus they didn't list pick up dates/times from what I read. Video of the game working is a plus. It's a 3.5 hour drive for me each way.
