Aloha RC! I haven't cataloged the repaints yet. We've come up with a good method but even so it is still under continual refinement. We also did a 2001 with original colors... turned out gorgeous w/perfect alignment of the somewhat challenging cabinet artwork. I'll have some pics soon after TPF this weekend.

My Paradise tiki-retheme won't begin until mid-2017 at the earliest. Way too many projects going on right now. But one of our fellow "VECTORIANS" (our local pinball group at the Dallas Makerspace) has stripped a Student Prince and is re-themeing it head to toe in a tiki-bar motif. It will be at TPF in our booth this year. Here's his Pinside thread: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/new-tiki-themed-wooden-pop-bumper-caps

Paradise doesn't have any gobble holes. That's the same side->side->side->kickout mechanism on Kings & Queens and Sing Along. Though for me Paradise is the one to get for the fan-freaking-tastic artwork, hula girl backglass animation, 2-player option, and hey it's the first game ever designed with return lanes so you get a little history too. But that cab... ugh... no. Makes no sense. Has to go.

Yeah, I'd totally redo that Paul Bunyan with custom stencils. It needs something with tall trees and a river and maybe a deer or two (or Babe!). Something like a landscape panorama similar to El Dorado or Klondike. I'd put a tall tree near the back of the cab all the way up the side of the backbox for perspective. Suitably Bunyan-esque, no?

#1402 3 years ago

BTW here's a quick snap of the 2001. Very happy with the edge-alignment and color fidelity.

Welcome billpaterno! Those are some weird looking slots from Japan. I have no idea the value of them so don't know it they can be easily sold at $150 if you had to buy the package deal. Maybe someone here has an idea of their value?

They appear to be bottom-of-the-line Pachislo slots. Not normally worth that much at all. Nothing special about them. He might have originally paid $450 each if buying retail but a hard sell at even $150.00. More like $50 each and still not legal in 25 year territory since they pay out coins (even though they are skill stop and filled with tokens).

The Mystic on the other hand, is probably worth the $650 on its own if you are not buying to flip it.

I think that the consumer market for the "Colson-quote shirt" is male Pinsiders. However, to make sense, the shirt itself needs to be tailored to fit women.

Manufacturer: Gottlieb

Month/Year: October, 1979
Production: 6,150
Cost: 800

OP:I have for sale a Gottlieb System 1 Incredible Hulk pinball Machine.

So its current condition is . . . it needs work.
It was working fine and one day it stopped working (Thats the short explanation)

I had been able to in the past wiggle the connectors on the main board and it would continue to work fine. I think it needs minor work on the connectors and it should be back and fully operational. That or you could replace the boards with a NiWumpf and be in ever better than new condition. There are no issues with any of the electronics on the playfield and the machine is in good condition considering its age (1979 i believe).

You will need to pickup, and its not light.

Please send a phone number and i will get back to you on a first come first serve basis.

Nope, it certainly wont... you should only have 2 expectations when it comes to CL sellers...
1. Always assume that the seller is a clueless drooling dipshit, because 80% of them are.
2. Expect that the value of what they're selling is actually 50% or less of the dilutional price they're asking,

CL has been very kind to me. Yes, there is a lot of wading through BS but every once in a while you can grab a diamond in the rough for a song.
You have to be willing to take a road trip. I get many good leads in places that are very rural. You also need to be able to judge people and make them trust you. Nothing like paying sight unseen to gain trust. If I am underpaying for a pin, I will actually tell the seller, they like knowing I'm not a thief (just an opportunist with cash)

Not trying to be a thread police or anything, but hoping to keep this fabulous thread from devolving into something negative. (Other places on Pinside to find that. )

I'm certain there are "challenging" craigslist interactions to speak of. We've all had them, myself included. However, as an alternate examples, I've had some incredibly rewarding experiences, too. Like this one:

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/my-art-grail-pick-up-or-a-family-pinball-vay-cay-64-bally-hay-ride

...for example. Not to mention, another craigslist ad I found right here on the Project Pinball thread:

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/post-project-pins-for-sale-here-cl-ebay-pinside-and-others?tu=ryanclaytor#post-2805873

...in which, because I tried he help the seller sell his machine, he actually decided to lower his price for me, and I ended up buying it.

Anyhow, I loves me some Project Pinball thread. Just didn't want to see this go down the point of no return.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming:

Quoted from zacaj:

(I tried to remove the "</p>" but I can't see it when editing?)

Sorry, I should have been more clear. Apparently, when a Project Pin thread viewer clicks on a link, the Pinside server opens up a new page, adds the link and includes, for some reason, HTML code at the end of the link. This is a possible bug and as best as I can tell, only affects CL links.

For example, in the link you posted, correctly by the way, a new page is opened and the following link is submitted:
scranton.craigslist.org link

The viewer can fix this issue by removing the HTML code, <br%20/> in your case or </p> for my link and resubmitting the URL by pressing the RETURN key.

It's not the fault of the poster. That said, I added a " at the end of the link when posting and that kept the Pinside server from adding any HTML at the end of the URL:

Examples:
Link/Contact: chicago.craigslist.org link
scranton.craigslist.org link

Or, I could be completely wrong and it's the CL server behavior that has changed or it could be a browser specific issue or something else.

Clear as mud??

Edit: Possible bug report submitted.

Ah, I see. Definitely a pinside problem with how they convert your post to HTML and recognize CL links... Was hoping there was some advanced edit mode where I could see the HTML but alas all the editing options seem to be gone
