Got boned today on a Bally Kiss project game, been sitting 20 years. Hit CL sitting 7 hours away. Called this AM and the seller is in the amusement game biz, not a newbie. He was travelling this weekend 2 hours closer to me. Asked for 1st dibs, "you got it" after a lengthy discussion since the PF was completely disassembled and is a total project. Deposit? Nope I'll hold for a couple days till you finalize meeting me and won't sell it without contacting you 1st. 7 hours later he sold it for an extra $150 without calling. Being old school myself, what ever happened to giving your word to someone? I know this subject has been beaten to death here, but it still sucks.

When this happens to anyone in the future you need to remind the seller what they did. Just say
“you just sold your soul for $150”

Sorry this happened man.

Agreed. I've held games and took less because a deal is a deal. But the world is changing and most people's word means nothing. I wasted 2 hours on this arranging friends who live closer to get it sooner for me just to snag it quick. Obviously not quick enough.

do you have bob's contact info,i need a game picked up in indiana going to california in the coming few weeks...
thanks.

1. You can also ask Brett Butler aka labnip. He has made routes to Midwest and California in the past
2. Another option is to ask the seller to deliver and prepare for shipment at s Fastenal, and ship to a Fastenal store in Nevada, then pick up on a weekday. Fastenal stores are closed on weekends, and only open limited hours during the week.
3. Bite the bullet and pay Michelle at Navl/sti.

Out the bad seller as this person is in the industry and not a person with a pin handed down to them.

OP: Vintage Williams pinball machine worked well been sitting many years needs flipper rubbers asking 450
Me: Seller dropped his price to $375. This has to be the worst repainted cabinet I have seen. It looks like wallpaper that peeled off the bottom edge of the head. This is a rare AAB game. Someone please buy this (for less than $375) and repaint that cabinet.[quoted image]

Wow another pops up! These guys are rare for sure. Not a bad price

There is s King’s of steel in Salem Oregon that just reduced price to $450. Description: Lights up, works except sound is off and one flipper not working. Clean unit

Quoted from bluespin:

The pin is in Kouts, IN which is 2,127 miles from your house, just a little outside of your maximum pin road trip. I say go for it and stop at Chicago pinball Expo on your way back!
All kidding aside Bally had several pins with <100 made. They would send out prototypes to arcades to see if the public liked them as much as the current production pins. If the pins were unpopular they were never mass produced. In other words that Double Up May be rare, but because it isn’t fun to play

I agree. The play field looks like it shares a lot with King Tut, which I have read is no fun to play at all.

a 7 hours roundtrip to a fastenal in reno is out of the question right now, labnip was last seen on pinside since april, look like navl/sti it is.

I may know the one youre talking about. Sylvania ohio? If so, i know that game well, you got lucky in my opinion. But i know the guy and i thought he was a stand up guy, even if he has a business to run, but maybe not

Right Lonnie?? I'm out though...I got a line on a PF for "our" 3J BTW, so we're all good. :0) But there was a day not long ago I woulds been on my horse heading for central jersey as soon as I saw this...doubles of the same title are often attractive to me figuring I could restore them both, keep one and sell the other...

Also...anyone thinking about picking up this game in NJ, don't be afraid of the bad BG...the artwork has been re-done, and is available on a thread here on spinside somewhere...a less lazy man would find it for you, but that's not me. LOL

Grand Prix for sale here
https://www.estatesales.net/TX/Tyler/75707/2337186
Me:also for sale a notoriously finicky Atari Pole Position arcade game.

Thanks for this. Finally got the Grand Prix I was looking for. The pole position was toast, they wanted 200 for it. There was a twin jokers for 100 that was also missing parts (good for early bally legs though?), and an Exhibit Morocco that was probably past saving for 120. The backglass was missing a little, there wasn't much left of the play field.

Congrats! And you're welcome! I haven't picked up a pin in over 18 months...so i'm living vicariously through helping everyone else's pickups!

If that was closer to Chi-town, I would have picked it up!

I emailed them about it but have not gotten a return email yet so I am assuming it might already be sold. If I do end up hearing from them (or if you happen to talk to them) I am seriously interested and would gladly pay you to give me a hand getting it up into my van.
