Me: they have arcades and tons of other collectibles. If I were within a few hours, I would go, without a doubt.

Quoted from jaytrem:Awesome, congrats! I assume it's a credit button, but let us know. Comet can be set to free play. Oddly enough the guy I bought mine from didn't have it set for free play. So maybe it's a Comet thing.
It was in fact set up as a credit button.
I took it out, and set it on free play. Now I got a huge hole to fill!

UPDATE: Sold in 4 minutes
I was fortunate to see this ad right after it was posted. I replied right away and provided my name and phone number and the seller called me right away and I told him I would take it and pickup after work. When I spoke with him later, he said he received over 40 replies to the ad but he kept his word and sold me the game since I was the first to reply. He was offered much more than his asking price and I did pay him more than his asking price. C9B137FF-D416-4D06-A9AF-3F67F3C506CF (resized).jpeg854A3A1E-2CE5-4823-A428-E3F9208DBC6A (resized).jpeg

Condition:
Quoted from Pin-Pilot:Anyone interested in an EM pin 1969 Williams Smart Set? I have one for sale on Craigslist. Mechanically it works 100%. The cabinet, and Back glass are in poor condition. The play field is in decent shape but needs touchups.
This was my first pinball game I bought as a project. The previous owner had it sitting outside on his covered patio. I rebuilt all the score reels, pop bumpers and went through the game to get it working.

Wow! Nice grab! I saw it posted within a few minutes too (I don't know why my pic says 3 hours), and would have jumped on it if in driving distance. Yo! Taxi!

I have seen the pictures of these and have talked to Mike about them. Totem is probably the best of the bunch condition wise and Cleopatra would likely be second best but the extremely hard to find center plastic is missing on the Cleopatra and the cabinet art is weak so that one is questionable especially when it also has some paint loss on the backglass. The other 4 are really more "parts" then projects but as always some people will try to save machines really not worth the time & effort.
I have some interest in 3 or 4 of them as parts machines but am having a hard time justifying the drive to grab them.

OP: 1974 Williams Pinball Machine. Star Pool. We bought this machine and it worked. I cleaned the contacts up and it hasn’t worked since. All light bulbs were replaced, new balls, new rubber bumpers. The machine was tuned up but I can’t figure out what is wrong. Game will not reset so you cannot play. Please look at photos closely. Glass is cracked. Call or text Audra.

Didn't need another project, but when they pop up in my very same town, they're hard to resist: snatched up this Bally Knockout today. It was a slight gamble because it was in a storage unit with no power available to see if anything worked. Backglass is immaculate, pf has a little wear here and there but overall pretty decent (missing right spinner, pop bumpers need updating), all plastics intact. Got it home and powered up, seems to have a few minor issues (e.g. score reel reset relay not getting triggered, 1000 switch sticking somewhere, only seems to want to start in 2p mode), but nothing I shouldn't be able to work through, hopefully. Overall it seemed to play fine, flippers are strong, should be fun!

I'm actually driving right past here in my way to pick up another machine. I'll check it out, but from the website they seem to think a #tz sells for $14k so who knows what the process well be like
Tabaum -I agree with your assessment, but it is worth checking out. Since it’s an auction, you never know. The pics were terrible, so if you see them, please provide an opinion on condition.
Quoted from jdoz2:Just a heads up that this is a scam. They took my exact wording from one I sold a few months ago.[quoted image]
Did you report it to Daina?

For an auction, do I need to be there at 10? I was likely going to pass by around noon.
What I have found at any auction is that if the auctioneer senses or knows there’s an item or items that has attracted a crowd, that item is usually held toward the end of the auction. However, that’s not always the case, so if you go, plan on blowing pretty much of the day regardless.

Really? Because a $2100 Twilight Zone didn't raise any red flags at all....
Embryon that is close to me, at a good price, and I can't swing it right now.
Bring your $1200 and make me proud!
Quoted from sndchaser:Really? Because a $2100 Twilight Zone didn't raise any red flags at all....
No because I sold mine for $2500
Bidder one has 3 pins on auction ending tomorrow. night rider, hot hand, and spy hunter if anyone is interested. Bidderone.com mancave auction. Also a ton of gaming machines.
I reached out to the auctioneer for better pics and was told the next time he will see the machine is at the auction. So, poor pictures is all we have to go by.
Quoted from RonSS:Oh, wow. Thanks.
It was a heavy project he mentioned in this thread several pages back. It would have taken a lot of work but was definitely savable. I believe it sold in a matter of minutes once listed if I’m remembering correctly.

OP: What we have here is a real mess. Playfield is ROUGH literally. Backglass is presentable but painted on the back so no light comes through. Cabinet solid and decent on one side, other side trashed.
The good: Has a working board set.
I have got it mostly all working. Flippers, slingshots and pop bumper work. Drop targets switches need cleaned and adjusted. Outhole kicker is weak. Missing five plastics and the proper apron. Has sound and speech. Displays are not great, some missing digits.
ME: Seller also has a rough player condition (but shopped) High Speed for $1,300. Looks more like a $700 candidate for a Hardtop.

Too bad you’re in Texas, my sister LOVES Tetris. Why doesn’t that one have a rotary knob like I’ve seen on other Tetris games?
