Quoted from Billc479:

Is anybody going after the Allied Leisure pin - Dyn o' Mite on Ebay? Looks like it might be working. Located in Indiana, well east of Chicago. I was thinking about it, but not sure I want to make a six or seven hour drive.

Not sure I would drive that far for the title. And AL parts are not easy to come by if there’s a problem.

Just picked this up! I got lucky on this one for sure. The seller informed me a certain Nashville arcade tried to offer more after it was sold. Luckily he kept his word [quoted image]

Congrats!!!!!

That play field looks like it will clean up nicely. I have hard time believing that your One Ball is not blown out as so many are.

That was a heck of a deal, if I didn't already have 2 projects waiting on me I would have been all over that....Congrats!!

...and BOOOOO! on whoever tried to steal it out from under you!!

El Toro for sale here in St Louis
https://www.estatesales.net/MO/Saint-Louis/63116/2314503
nicovolta might call it 'ElBoro'

Quoted from bluespin:

I agreed to stop tagging Nic on El Toro posts. I’m glad someone else picked up the mantle

You dorks! :p

You know... I don’t even get notified when I get tagged. Hadn’t read this thread in over three months and, well, serendipity hath struck.

El Toro isn’t the worst pin ever made. It looks cool and is faster than most Gottliebs. But endless bagatelle is pretty boring when it comes down to it. Could be cool with a little tweakin’s. Maybe I’ll do a custom El Toro Diablo someday...

Living in Texas requires an inexplicable fondness for Bucee’s, quick reflexes for swatting Asian tiger mosquitoes, and a strong aversion to using turn signals.

It ain’t all bad. I do miss my local pinball pals and the food is really damn good. But for the most part I’m digging life in the Old Dominion.

Oh, and I’ll have some EM’s to raffle soon. Fully rebuilt by yours truly. A new fundraising vehicle for the museum!

Make sure to pm me about the raffles. Im interested.

Also, what games will be up for raffle?

Quoted from NicoVolta:

First pinball I ever remember playing. Spent several nickels trying to win a game. It was in the game room at Kilauea Military Camp in Hawaii. We're there to look at a live volcano and I'm like "let me play another game!" Always a soft spot for that one. If ever one comes up for sale close enough I will MAKE room.

Quoted from NicoVolta:

Oh, and I’ll have some EM’s to raffle soon.

Not your Old Chicago, I would presume. Ever since I played that one of yours at TPF I have been searching for a decent play field. Thankfully CPR is finally going to put them out. I'll be snatching one up for my Multi-Bally project.

Quoted from Daditude:

Will do. If anyone else wants to be on the list (and doesn’t follow our FB page where I will be posting all the raffle-stuff), just fire me a PM and I’ll add you.

List is being formed right now. Will keep ya apprised.

Correct. Not and never parting with Old Chicago. Heck, if I hadn’t found a Freedom prototype, it would be my favorite EM of all time. It’s just so damn cool... classic, multiplayer, spinners, bonus, lower pops, fast action, kickass art package, and an unapologetic nod to Bally’s gangsterish history and the seamier side of pinball/gambling/drinks/etc without being too overt. It’s just right.

Hot damn I love Old Chicago so much. It’s absolutely GREAT that they made so many... and even better now that CPR is in production.

Get one. All of y’all. Hurry up and get one.

Manufacturer: Williams
Game/Type: Lady Luck / EM 2 Player
Month/Year: March 1968
Production: 3,202
Cost: $400
Location: MD 21050
Seller: JJ KL Murica

OP: Williams Lady Luck pin, working as it should. Cab was repainted by previous owner and looks good. Minor flacking on back glass. Playfield is nice with some planking. Works and plays good. $400 this weekend need it out the garage!

Manufacturer: Bally
Game/Type: Silverball Mania / SS
Year: June 1978
Production: 10,350
Cost: $500
Location: Vail, AZ
Seller: Wayne Saeger
Link/Contact: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Pinball4sale/permalink/2895854587107988/?sale_post_id=2895854587107988&rt=11

OP: Bally Silverball Mania. Features a unique center horseshoe shot, two spinners, a ton of standup targets, and a very cool ball save feature. Plunging the center lane for the skill shot, or hitting the horseshoe will turn in the ball save. It will catch a center drain and send the ball back up into play.

Playfield has what looks like factory Mylar, and backglass is in good shape. Backglass has a little wear at the bottom edge. Cabinet is painted black, but might be able to strip that down to original art. There are stencils available to redo the cabinet and head art if you really wanted to. The factory art is pretty cool.

ROFL I won’t see ‘em anyway... but maybe we need a new schtick. Tag me when you see a cheap mint OC? ;p

Quoted from Daditude:

Yep. Worse than El Toro & hard to think of a lower one on the boring list. But if you compare Big Ben with Little Chief you can see Kordek reworked the layout and turned a stinker into an awesome game with only a few changes.

I am one of those guys that can appreciate ANY pinball game. If I went to a "free to play" arcade and they had big ben or raven...I would likely play them. I just dont care for them versus others pins of their respective eras.

EMs overall are my least favorites, but games like capersville, centigrade 37, the wiggler, joker poker, subway, and a couple more...I would absolutely buy if given the chance.

#13436 4 years ago

What is there to do in JK? Bunch of roll overs and a single pop. Glad to get rid of it I was.

Ah yes, Jungle King... one of the biggest “Craigslist cloggers”. Every time someone says they have a mystery pin in their basement and I show up to see what it is... it is often a Jungle, Jungle King, Jungle Life (rarely - export version), or Wild Life. Arrrrgh!

Gottlieb made over 10,000 of this game in its various versions. Artwork is... hmmm.

Unfortunately, the odds are even higher of finding a Bronco or Mustang (which Gottlieb made even more of domestically). Double arrrgh! But at least the artwork is redeemable.

On that note, any other EM’s you often see clogging up the marketplaces?

#13438 4 years ago

Williams Gulfstream and Space Mission.

#13439 4 years ago

Was going to say Space Mission, but I also see this one a lot. Not that its bad, but it pops up all the time.

Never played it but it does look boring, Skylab/Spacelab ditto.

For a low volume title they do seem to pop up a lot. Great backglass on those last two.

On that note, any other EM’s you often see clogging up the marketplaces?

El Toro.

Never played it but it does look boring, Skylab/Spacelab ditto.
For a low volume title they do seem to pop up a lot. Great backglass on those last two.

Agreed. I'd like to just frame and backlight one of those. I'm afraid the pinball gods would all get upset though.

Wouldn’t it be great if they were “clogged” with Centigrade 37, Royal Flush, Canada Dry, Stern Pinball EM, Cleopatra EM ... ?
