Looks VERY rough and backglass has fade but I'd take it for $ 150. Sad it would be a 16 hour round trip.

OP Mayfair: This game really hurts to sell, I’ve always wanted to restore it but never got the chance. Game is super cool and has a lot of cool things on. Based on the whole “my fair lady” thing it’s really a awesome game, game is rough but playfield is in great shape. Asking 250 obo. Thank you

OP GS: I’ve had the game a while and have been working on it like crazy but sadly ive just not got the time for it anymore. Playfield isn’t too bad and I’ve completely take apart the inside and cleaned it all up and prayed it would work but still doesn’t, the hold relay wont activate so you can’t start a game but it lights up and powers on. Backglass isn’t the best and the cabinet is discoloring, asking $200

Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Game/Type: Mars God of War / SS
Month/Year: March 1981
Production: 5,240
Cost: $600
Location: New Orleans, LA
Seller: Dirk Smith Johnson
Link/Contact: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/216018445962429/

OP: Special, rare, early production game with inverted cabinet paint (red on black instead of black on red) of Gottlieb 'Mars God of War' pinball machine. This is a project and price is without MPU board. Game is complete otherwise - including the inner backglass - both inner and outer backglass are in excelent condition with no flaking (inner bg is not pictured and stored away someplace safe). Game is in otherwise all original condition except for the MPU. Would sell the game with Pascal MPU for +400 ($1000) or without mpu for $600. Less

Miss-O is a fun game, I had one for a while. Note to project hunters -- that is not the original cabinet...

Quoted from ArcadeRaid:

I'm still waiting for a neighbor to say, "Oh hey, I have this space shuttle game that doesn't work anymore. I was going to throw it out, you want it?" I'm not holding my breath though!

Jist had one fall into my lap like that. Didnt realize SS had such a following. Awaiting resumption of hardtops to restore it.

I have one as well. I thought the same as you on the cabinet but, if you look where the legs bolt on the original paint is there. Someone repainted it with the card theme.

Miss-O was originally titled Miss-Q. But Williams learned Miss-Q was a less than satisfactory word usage in France. So it became Miss-O.

You can find this reference at the IPDB.org website.

Long story short... Back in the days of cheap pinballs...
A Game Plan Sharp Shooter came in... It was a mess... Got all the parts to fix the game...
New flipper parts... Coils...new plastic set, Etc, etc, etc. Got the game
all bright and shiny... With supper strong flippers... I did some redesigns of the hardware.
I just got it done and ready for the show room floor, when a panicked "D.A." comes in.
I NEED FLIPPERS NOW!!!!! He looked at the game I had just finished,
(mind you, I have spent several weeks to complete). PERFECT!
Wire cutters ... chop , chop ,chop... unscrew, unscrew,unscrew...
He was gone.
The sad Sharp Shooter sat in the back of the shop for several months, no flippers, nobody
wanted a jacked up game with no flippers... so in the dumpster it went.
All that work for nothing. It just broke me.

Why would you throw it away with only the flippers gone?

#13135 3 months ago
Quoted from dothedoo:

Why would you throw it away with only the flippers gone?

I did not throw it away ...
The people that owned the business threw it away, along with an Atari Middle Earth.
Again, this was a time when nobody wanted "old washed up pinballs"
It was always the new "what made money in the coin box" pinballs that dominated
the field at the time.
Back in those days I was able to buy pinballs for $150.00 dollars or so.
Like three broken Black Holes for a total cost of $400.00 dollars.
Hunted House... The guy did not want pay for the estimated cost for the repairs:
Cost to me, FREE.
Keeney Go Cart pinball... Free, out on the lawn at some guys house.
Etc, etc, etc.
Those were the days.

Does anyone in the north east have a project or players High Speed to sell for around $800?

#13138 3 months ago
Quoted from WeLoveScott:

Does anyone in the north east have a project or players High Speed to sell for around $800?

Maybe 3 years ago. These days a project High Speed is closer to a $1200 machine on a good day and maybe more depending on how bad owner wants to sell one and how bad buyer wants it. The days of any System 11 under $1000 are pretty much long gone. You might find a Road Kings for under $1000 in rough shape but I think that would be the only System 11 that still can be found under $1000

I knew there was a second System 11 I was forgetting Millionaire is worse than Road Kings as far as resale. Sadly those two machines make great donor machines for transformers, boards, and other parts. Road Kings isn't all that bad of a machine to play but it still just doesn't get much action when you are trying to sell one.
