Quoted from ForceFlow:

I still see a small handful every year. A couple months ago, there was one at a local antiques auction, but it was pretty beat and the price went higher than it was really worth.

Same here. I'd like one, even a beater, but I'm not going to spaz out if I can't find one that's reasonable.

Quoted from ArcadeRaid:

I'm still waiting for a neighbor to say, "Oh hey, I have this space shuttle game that doesn't work anymore. I was going to throw it out, you want it?" I'm not holding my breath though!

Not holding your breath didn't work. Maybe it's time to try it

#13053 4 years ago

I know of two Space Shuttle projects...both are beat to hell.
One is never going to get done...the guy owns a junk shop and thinks it is his retirement fund.
The other...looks awful...still for sale and I've never gotten a response from the guy...I don't think he even knows that they take keys...and of course it is wildly overpriced.

And in case you wondering the hardtops aren't available at the moment.
Should be at some point in the future. Could be a week. Could be months.

This board works though

Quoted from Ballypin:

Yes, if there happens to be $ 400 in the coin box.

Definitely. I had a chance to buy a Ro Go for a few hundred bucks a couple of years ago. I had actually played a few before, and passed on it even at that price.

Absolutely nothing on the PF, and the least sexy girl in all of pinball on the BG.

Outside Edge posted today that they plan to be up and running and back to producing hardtops by October with their new equipment, perhaps sooner.

Yeah but she's got the chain mail over the landing strip.

That she does. But teal on the game? Just made it uglier. They should have kept the early production BG and that color scheme.

Quoted from ForceFlow:

Looks salvageable if you can find a head. It looks like they just cut down the legs and removed the neck, and pretty much left everything else. I wonder if the wiring is intact. It might be if the GI lights up.
[edit]: found one: https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/82019

I got this back from the seller.

Hi , so I’m not really sure how we would check inside it. All I know is judging by how heavy it is , there must be something!

True true. But that might entice people to play it.

I'm not against a machine in that condition, but that's a lot of dollars between machine and shipping for that game.

Gottlieb Shindig and Genco Merry Widow.
$325 for the pair in Omaha.

omaha.craigslist.org link

The Shindig looks like it's seen some recent work potentially, the playfield rubbers are WAY too clean.
Not a bad condition compared to most cheap woodrails I see.

Merry Widow.... much rougher looking.

I'm still waiting for a neighbor to say, "Oh hey, I have this space shuttle game that doesn't work anymore. I was going to throw it out, you want it?" I'm not holding my breath though!

That's how I got my Middle Earth that I recently sold. Got a phone call from a friend, "Hey, i just dropped my daughter off at her friend's house. They have a pinball machine in the trash. You interested?" Rumor was that no one played it anymore and they had it in the basement since 1983.

~~~~~Mr. Pinball Classifieds~~~~~
Manufacturer: Bally
Game/Type: Hi-Deal / EM 1 Player
Month/Year: October 1975
Production: 2,085
Cost: $400
Location: Polk City, Iowa 50226
OP: I bought this as a project machine. The backglass is beautiful and almost perfect condition as well as the plastics. The cabinet is very good, the machine lights up, resets, and play field features like pop-bumpers activate and score. The biggest issue on this machine is that the images of the cards on the right and the gorilla on the playfield need attention. It seems to be a very solid machine that looks like it is ready to work. Since it needs new rubbers, I never tested a game on it. Schematics included.
*** Seller also has the below games listed on Mr. Pinball***
Dancing Dolls, 1960 Gottlieb: $475
Flipper Parade, 1961 Gottlieb: $950
Gigi, 1963 Gottlieb: $550
Hot Line, 1966 Williams: $425
Me:not only looking at the pin, but the smoker on wheels! Anyone want to drive it up to Chicago??? lol
Thanks for posting this. I ended up snagging it. Backglass is mint and cabinet has like 2 dings. Playfield is dirty but looks like it should clean up. I think there's typical ball swirls but there isn't a game that doesn't have those from the era.
It's currently not working. After it's shopped and fixed I'm definitely open for trades on other rare games. In particular a Zaccaria Robot. If anyone has that or something else interesting and wants a really nice Voltan.
I got beat out of a Farfalla up here a few weeks ago. Did you have any competition for buying the Voltan?
I work right by the place so I beat anyone on site. There was an offer but they'd told the person they needed to come in. There was supposedly another person coming in to to look at it as well.
I was very close to going out there for it, but I decided not to. I am in the Dallas area, so it would've been 3 hours each way.
I tried to reach the estate sale company about the price multiple times with ZERO success.
It's hard to spend that much time and effort going in blind on price. They might want 100 bucks, they may want 10,000 bucks. My experience with estate sales (which is vast) says that they usually ask way too much. The game is certainly rare, but not as much fun as a lot of others from the era...so that played into it as well. Still...I would love to know what it went for.
Manufacturer: Williams
Game/Type: #time-warp / SS 4 Player
Month/Year: September 1979
Production: 8,875
Cost: $300
Location: Tyngsborough, MA
Pinsider: @langless28
Link/Contact: https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/41554
OP: Trying to make some room. I am against throwing out anything pinball since it might be of use to someone else, plus the numbers of original items gets smaller and smaller. Its a taken apart time warp but I'm willing to sell just about any part on the entire game that someone needs. Boards, power supply, displays are all good.
Ideally i would keep the playfield and backglass as wall hangers if someone else need the entire rest of the guts but again, need room and don't want to throw anything out.
