Quoted from Daditude:Stern catacomb project on ebay. 700
Not mine...but i would get it in a heartbeat if i lived in the northeast.
Noticed the seller ended his listing.
In his description he mentioned two other Sterns to sell -- I had inquired thru e-bay when the listing was still active and they were a Meteor and Galaxy. He said he'd sell all three for $1700 -- If I was not already full on projects and if I didn't already own a Meteor/Galaxy I'd be posting some pictures in the "What Machine did you bring home today" Thread!
Hopefully someone was able to take advantage.

It was too far from me, otherwise I would have jumped on it also!
Quoted from cottonm4:If I did not already have one and the price on this one does not get whacky, I'd make the drive.
Damn ended with no bids?

This is probably the guy that I was trying to buy his Catacomb for six months through pms. Can’t win them all
Quoted from edward472:Damn ended with no bids?
I don't know how he did that. He did have 2 bids. The 2nd bid was for $710.00. I wonder if someone local got to him and bought the pin with no Ebay commissions. You can tell he did not want to mess with shipping.
From OP: 1979 gottlieb " count down " vintage antique pinball machine. Worked when put into dry storage over 20 years ago. Good paint and wood on play area. Good glass. Top needs touched up. Complete machine. I know what they are worth restored and unrestored condition. Make me a reasonable offer. Text or call. No email
From OP: Old casonova pinball machine. Game works and plays with everything working. Is missing backglass sadly but still plays. Send me a reasonable offer on it and it’s yours. Great game for parts, a restoration, or just a game to fix up and put in your garage. Send me reasonable offers. Located in vanalstyne tx

I had sent him a message through eBay as well when the bid was still $700, and he never got back to me.
Quoted from frunch:Pinsider Colsond has posted a project Gottlieb Spiderman for *free*, wants gone asap. No boards, no backglass, no displays, fairly rough cab, no legs, couple cracked plastics. Here's a link to the post he put up at the northeast fs thread:

The guy said to make him a "reasonable offer." I thought about offering to haul it away for him if he pays me 50 bucks.

So there is a project listed for $1000 OBO....I've messaged the guy for TWO WEEKS.
Crickets.
I just asked what the nature of the problems were. Does it boot? Light? Play? Do you have keys?
Nothing.

OP: This old Chicago was a project on mine that I had started but haven’t had time for. The head was sanded and pained white because I planned on buying the stencils for it. Backglass is in great shape. Cabinet was sanded down but not yet painted. Game lights up and makes some noises but doesn’t play. The body was taken apart because I planned on cleaning up everything but never did. Everything is there and complete just some things are taken apart. PLayfield is very nice but needs a cleaning. Plastics are near perfect and I have new pop bumper caps and a rubber kit. Game would make a fantastic project as this game is incredibly collectible and fun when it’s working. Asking 200obo

OP: Cabinet and playfield have some wear, I think typical of what you'd expect from a game of this era. Backglass is in pretty good shape with a little flaking in a couple of areas. All playfield posts and rubbers have been replaced. Game plays well, but the score motor needs to be cleaned as it will stick occasionally (I played 3 games prior to posting this with no issues).
Game is located on ground level, with a super easy loadout - maybe 10 feet to your car

OP: Here is a 1978 original Bally strikes n spares bowling theme pinball game PLEASE READ BELOW
Game has NO MPU. I put a new multi mpu board in it just to show the game works!!! MPU IS NOT INCLUDED you can buy a new mpu for 100-200 to play the games
600 as is or best offer. This should be considered a working project.
Backglass is really nice one spot of white paint has been added on girls shirt that shows when lit behind and playfield has wear as shown please look at pics. Plastics are very nice on the game
Game has been gone through a little on top side with new rubbers and bulbs but most of the wiring needs to be gone through. This has not been shopped out and really needs gone through to be 100% functional, some Mylar still on game.
Occasionally the game resets during play and the score displays need to warm up but it does work and seems to score properly
Game will need wiring gone through since bulbs flicker and sometimes work on playfield
It’s complete and cabinet body has been painted yellow. Head has original paint, coin door is original Bally.
I would prefer local pickup and cash but am willing to ship with PayPal. PM ME
you must make shipping arrangements via fastenal or Navl

He replied and told me he was 62 and not not know how get more pics up on his ad. I now I see he did add pictures. But they are all junk. So, I just got finished with sending him another Ebay contact and told him he is asking a premium price for his pin and that he should be posting quality, well lit pictures.
Not my doing, but he changed his method of shipping. "Buyer pays shipping costs".

I'd just assume by how faded the glass is that the playfield is average at best. I wouldn't waste my time asking for more pictures if that's the best he can do before being badgered about it.

OP: I have more projects than I have space to keep or time to fix and restore. So I am letting a pretty nice Heat Wave project go. Playfield is in nice shape and will clean up well. Plastics are nice. Backglass has a few minor blemishes but is in above average condition. The bell coil is toasted and will need to be replaced and the game gone through. Being a single player EM is should be fairly easy to get this game going. The cabinet has been painted yellow but it can probably be stripped to reveal the original cabinet artwork or repainted if desired. There is a folder with some paperwork that came with the game. Legs not shown in photos but are included. Delivery within DFW metroplex available for $50 extra. Pickup in The Colony or Carrollton available.
Blue Ribbon: Thinning out my project queue of games that I don’t have room for in my gameroom lineup and to help clear space in storage. The playfield and plastics are in nice shape. Backglass has some crazing around the score reels. Cabinet paint was a little rough if my memory is correct. Game is currently in storage so the photos are from my profile on the PinballOwners website. The game was mid repair and restoration when I purchased it. All of the parts from the top of the playfield are included in a bubble mailer bag along with the plastics. Should not be too difficult to get this game back together. Can deliver within the DFW area for $50 extra. Or it can be picked up in Carrollton.
Bonanza: I am selling a project game that was in the process of being repaired that is currently in my gameroom. It did not make the cut since I have two other games I want to bring in from storage that are keepers. Game is in decent shape. Backglass has some flaking but still is okay unless you are restoring the game and must have a perfect glass. Playfield is decent shape. Plastics are a little yellowed and have a little warping. Cabinet shows its age but is not terrible shape. Game was mostly working the last time I messed with it. Currently up on legs in the gameroom. Can get more photos or answer questions if needed. Delivery within the DFW metroplex available for $50 extra. Pickup available in The Colony.
