This is the same title that seller in CA was trying to sell. Rare title and looks like it might be fun to play

I sold a really nice one at Allentown a couple years ago for less money. I don't know what it might be worth but according to Boston Pinball two sold for under $400 each in the past. It is a title you don't see come up for sale often and art is pretty interesting but does anyone really care? Playmatic machines are tough to find parts for and I am a parts guy.

I just looked at my records & I sold mine in 2015 for $300. Looking back it surprises me how cheap we were selling just 3 years ago. I am paying more for machines now then I was selling most of them for back then.

#11716 5 years ago

Headed to Volant, PA in the next week or so with a truck...

anyone between Kalamazoo and Volant have too many SS project machines?

Salivating for a Flash Gordon, Black Knight, Firepower, Blackout, Flash...early, high production numbers, fun to play pins...open to many others.

Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Game/Type: Sunset / EM 2 Player
Month/Year: November 1962
Production: 2,275
Cost: $350
Location: Sterling Heights, MI
Link/Contact: detroit.craigslist.org link

OP: I have a 1962 Gottlieb Sunset Pinball Machine. It is clean with recent new rubbers.

The cabinet was repainted white before I got. The big issue is the score motor that enables you to start the game is stripped so I can't get it to start anymore. This would need replaced or repaired.

Here's one you don't see often. Project Bally Fathom in Indiana on auction on 3/2/2019. If only I was closer...….

Oh hell, you know you want it.

It is an online auction. If you win the bid, Google Earth says you only have a 444 mile one way trip. One night in a motel. Or if you are really adventurous, you could leave early in the morning and could be there in 7 hours. Then load up and head home. Of course, this time of year the weather could stick it to you.

I looked at your collection. You need this Fathom

If this was a game I was looking for I would be all over this.

I never have any luck with auctions. Found a Centaur at auction last year, drove 100 miles only to find it was in a damp basement and no keys to the head. Had a good PF. I quit at 2K, it sold for $2300. (To a Pinsider no less)

tomdrum I wasn’t going to share this one as I am interested in buying it. You’re right it’ll probably sell for much more than it’s worth.

Sorry for "outing" it. IMO that's a $1500 to $2K game. I image it will go closer to $3K.

FYI for you east coast guys... TNT is getting rid of a bunch of Gottlieb Black Hole project machines. They are advertising on Facebook. It looks like 6 lower cabinets, and three or four upper cabinets. From the ad description, it sounds like enough parts to possible build two Black Hole machines. I would be all over this one, but Im on the west coast. I hope a pinsider gets them, and manages to put together a few good machines.

Don't be sorry. I would assume there have been a lot of pins that have been outed here that someone, perhaps not even on pinside, was trying to buy and the sunlight took their chance away.

I was tempted too, but for the time, space, and effort it would've taken. Probably could've made at least 3 working ones out of the bunch, and possibly a 4th with some scavenging.

But, it was marked as sold a couple days ago. Good luck to whomever ended up with them.

Space did me in. I’m a sucker for junked games, as you and others may have noticed! 6 Black Hole projects sounds like a dream but unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be

#11749 5 years ago

Back in the day... 3 Black Holes $300.00 dollars. I got 2 to work.
The third was scrapped for parts, so the others could live.
Yes, the scrapped parts are still rescuing other Gottlieb games today...
The latest? Raven.
