Manufacturer: Stern
Game/Type: Meteor / SS
Year: September 1979
Production: 7,939
Cost: $750
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Pinsider: jwwhite15
Link/Contact: Posted in a regional sale forum

OP: Have a working Meteor project machine. The game plays and works right minus the 110vdc. None of the scores work. There is some corrosion on the mpu and the rectifier board. I haven't pulled the boards so don't know the extent of the corrosion. The pf has some wear to the wood and the back glass is ok. May be open to a trade for a Bally Lost world or something else. Asking 750 as it sits. It will obviously also need a detailed shop job.

#11608 5 years ago

Manufacturer: Williams
Game/Type: Travel Time / EM
Year: January 1973
Production: 3,450
Cost: $250
Location: Citrus Heights, CA
Seller: Richard Twaddell
Link/Contact: https://www.facebook.com/groups/958426214184968/?fref=nf

OP: I picked up this Travel Time last year in hopes of returning it to working order. My first ever pinball purchase.

One tech looked at it and wouldn't touch it. He told me to go buy a wedgehead instead. The second tech told me last night after 4 hours of diagnostics he can't fix it. I'll be picking it back up on Thursday evening.

At this point I have decided to cut my losses.

I paid $250 for it so the first $250 can have it.

I've never come across an EM that can't be fixed. I have a Travel Time. What are the issues? PM me

SHUFFLE BOWLER

1962 United Lancer Shuffle Bowler
$250 Now $200
Irving, TX
Seller: Shawn Christian / Pinsider Dallas_Pin
I picked up this shuffle bowler in Oklahoma a few years ago but never got around to getting it setup and playable. The seller said it had been working until about a year before I bought it when a few relay actuator plates cracked. It is missing one of the plastic score reels but has the mechanism. My current game room plan does not have a spot for this and I need to free up storage space so I can get rid of more units so this must go. Currently asking less than what I have into the game. It is very heavy and moves as two large pieces. I can deliver with my truck and liftgate within the DFW metroplex for $100 extra. Game currently located in storage in Carrollton, TX.

Is it unrealistic to think that I will find a T2 project pin these days? Seems there will always be EMs available. Would love to do a ground up restore on one. Just didn’t know if this is too popular of a pin to find not already modified and trying to sell for $3k.

I think its possible. I picked up a project one for 2k recently. wasnt cheap but should clean up nicely

I picked one up for $200 a few years ago. It was stored in a machine shop with the glass off! It had a nice layer of metal dust on every surface. Gave it to a buddy of mine, and it actually cleaned up into a nice pin.

#11635 5 years ago

Found a parts machine for $175 a couple years ago. Took a while (and some $$) to collect all the missing parts.

Cheap 80s/90s project games are just harder to come by these days. Everybody wants them. And more and more of them keep getting either restored or parted out. I feel like we're scaping the bottom of the barrel right now.

#11636 5 years ago

Long time ago in mid-80s, the '56-'62 Corvette prices into the 5 digit prices for average driver cars. Everybody was looking for parts to restore their old Vette with. I never met Kip but he had a '57 Vette sitting over at Ken's house. It was a nice running driving '57 Vette.

The next time I saw that car all that was left was the shell of a body, hood, deck lid, frame, and wheels. Kip parted that car out, made fortune on the parts, and then sold the body/chassis assembly to some one who trailered it home. Someone who either already had a lot of parts or who was going to be chasing parts very soon so it could be put back together.

Even to this day I still shake my head.

Manufacturer: Williams

OP: Still need to make a little more quick cash to cover the cost of my last purchase. So offering up my spare Firepower project. (I have 2) but only one is for sale. MPU not booting. Backglass is pretty nice but playfield has some wear. Will need a complete shop and going over. It’s still packed away but can get better pictures later. $700

OP: Two Gottlieb Premier pinball machine projects. Hollywood Heat and Monte Carlo.

Hollywood Heat appears to be all there and a couple years ago I did turn it on and play one game before folding it up. Monte Carlo came to me without MPU/Soundboard so I don't know what might be wrong with it otherwise. Both are system 80b so you could use the HH mpu in the Monte Carlo. Both games need to be cleaned and re-rubbered for sure. Monte Carlo does not come with a MPU board or sound board! Consider these as-is projects. $1000 for the pair.

These are all from Wayne's warehouse in Florida. Wayne sold pins and arcades for years, but recently passed. His son is trying to sell off his remaining inventory. For years people bought games from Wayne and he didn't disclose that he had a termite infestation. In a Florida collector online group a collector shared that he bought two arcades from Wayne and when he got them home he had to dispose of the cabinet because of termites.

A few months ago several collectors went to see the collection and paid prices reflecting that they were really parts machines, and would have to destroy the cabinets. I'm sure that these games listed today are also infested with termites, as they are probably leftovers from that warehouse.

Thanks bluespin for the inside information.

You’re welcome. When I first heard about the original sale on Facebook I was excited. I knew about a Warehouse raid that few people knew about, and I was planning a trip to Florida. Then then Florida collectors started talking about Wayne’s House if Termites as they call it. I was still interested in buying coin doors, boards, playfields, etc. A group of collectors bought 95% of all of the parts before the open house and I quickly lost all interest

OP: Unit in mid-restoration. In rough shape when I acquired it from original owners that never did any maintenance over the years. It plays without issue but needs work aesthetically. Interests change and I need the thing gone for the space. Aside from needing new rubber bands and light sockets for the poppers, everything’s there and labeled. Super cheep and ready to go but time is short. Need it gone by the end of Feb. otherwise, as much as it would pain me, it’s going to the dump. First come first serve. ***(have back glass but it is flaking. Don’t want to handle more than I have to.)
