This isn't the "bitch about flaky sellers" forum but hhhhoooollllleeeee cow.

From this experience--or near experience--it seems like it would be best to avoid the flakes.

FB listing. Working Time Warp....asking $400...I was third in line...get a text "it's yours if you want it"...
ok. Working pin. Not a great pin but it works...and it has drop targets...my kid wants drop targets...this will work.
I ask a few questions and I get that they do not have any keys. Have owned the machine for 10 years.
"Do I need to move on? I've got 75 people behind you"
I told him that I was still interested that I only asked so I would know what tools to bring...gotta drill those locks to transport the pin, right?
"No Drilling"

Pretty sure someone offered him more....

I see your ad is a wtb for a backglass. I don’t see a project pin for sale

It is under another listing. Here is the info:

Bally Speakeasy - 400
Project. I am in the middle of restoring it. I have 2 sets of plastics, brand new rubbers and pinballs, custom apron cards and originals, manual and schematics, 2 sets of card flyaways, extra rom chip, brand new bulbs with extras as well, full brand new plunger mechanism, and brand new playfield glass, and extra lane plastics and fuses. Apron is included, just not pictured. I have gone through and cleaned and waxed it.
No backglass.

Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Game/Type: #free-fall / EM AAB 1 Player version of Sky Jump
Month/Year: October 1974
Production: 650 (!)
Cost: $500 OBO
Location: Rochester, NY
Pinsider: @zacaj
Contact/Link: https://pinside.com/pinball/market/classifieds/ad/73628

OP: Project Gottlieb Free Fall for sale. I picked this up last year and did some work on it, but I've lost interest in it. Trying to clear up some space so selling this at a loss.

Started taking things off the playfield for cleaning (the plastics not on the playfield are in a bag). Cleaned some mechs and freed up the score reels. Everything functionally that I tried was working, but I'd assume this will still need some EM tuning.

- starts and plays a game
- nice backglass, minor flaking in the reds
- cabinet is dirty and yellowed, some scrapes on the right side
- playfield is dirty and inserts are sunken, but not much wear
- all plastics are intact, but dirty
- legs are rusty; I've already replaced the feet
- coin door is rusty
- new rubber kit from Marco
- no missing parts or anything that I've seen
- includes original paperwork (manual, cards, schematic)
- also includes a cool proto(?) schematic that has some differences from the regular schematic

Currently located in Rochester, NY, but I can deliver it to Buffalo, Albany, etc (and will be in NYC on the 19th). Can also bring to any area shows. Would trade for other projects, could add cash

Mars Trek (Sonic) $500

Looks like it's been stored in a trailer. Hard to say how it could clean up.

Never saw that title before. IPDB says they made them with real glass and plexi for the BG. Wonder which one this is.

Nice coin door. Myrtle Beach is a drive though. Damn. Wish....I....was....

I was tempted. Only a 2 hr drove for me. But none working makes me nervous... I can fix a ss but em might be over my head. Don't need a pinball sized paperweight

Same, me and the GF go to Myrtle every year and I went to the Pinball Museum, it’s amazing! Highly recommended! I heard apparently there was some knocking that happened so he’s not on Pinside much anymore, but it’s a shame because he’s very knowledgeable and runs a great museum.

As for the game, never seen Rockmakers before. It looks awesome and I’d love to play it!

If you’ve got time, EMs are very simple once you understand their logic. The only trouble is how simple the issues are, but how time consuming it is to track them down.
I’d personally recommend it, I love my EMs more than working on SS games. But EMs can take a huge amount of time to get working properly

Only $100? I’m not really that interested in EMs, but even I was tempted by this despite the distance.

I always use a pretty fine Emory board but I have only owned a handful of EM machines. They are pretty fun. I just always preferred mid 80s and up

You should learn how to work on them. They are amazing. If I can do it anyone can. Capersville looks fun. With 4 Million BC I just can't get past the look of it. It's ugly and dull looking to me. I passed on a nice Bally Joust about a year ago and regret it now.

What is that Embryon worth with all that playfield wear worth?I just looked at it and the the wear is substantial.

#11541 5 years ago
Quoted from whizz:

Seller says the game works, and I see lights in the gi, but I don’t see the displays on. Could just be a fuse or the displays could be shot. If I was closer (not eight hours each way) I’d offer $400-500. Ask for pictures of the back side of the backglass. Eventually they will make a hardtop for this title.

#11542 5 years ago

I actually went and looked at the game.It plays ok.Backglass is real nice.I can't see$1200.Playfield is really blown out.

#11543 5 years ago
Quoted from whizz:

I’d still only pay $500 with that playfield. Used playfields don’t come up for sale often, Cpr said they won’t make it, so a hardtop or pray for a nice used playfield

POTENTIAL COFFEE TABLE!

Game/Type: OXO / EM
Year: October, 1973
Production: 7,053
Cost: FREE
Location: Sarasota, FL
Link/Contact: sarasota.craigslist.org link

OP: Unfortunately, this base cabinet has termites in it, so I'm about to dispose of it.
It's free to anyone that wants to pick it up before Monday the 21st.
The playfield still looks decent, and there are plenty of parts.
You can disassemble it, and toss the cabinet in the dumpster.
E-mail if interested and I'll provide the address.

Me: The parts can be salvaged to save other games, OR you can make a coffee table out of it and post pictures in this group to torture Pecos !
