Quoted from bluespin:I've contacted a lot of these estate sales companies; to find out the title of the pin, ask pricing questions, etc. This seller says that they won't give out pricing information before the sale. They get a lot of requests for information prior to the sale. In the past when I asked for pricing, and their posting said that they won't give out pricing, they've never replied to me.
I imagine people calling for prices before the sale is sort of like people showing up in your driveway at 5am for a garage sale that you advertised as open at 7am.
Still, I do not understand how any harm would be done by giving out pricing info before the sale. They could increase their customer base with published pricing. I don't know too many people who would drive 200 miles without some sort of price info.
OTOH,
KCK is located 190 miles from Wichita.
Omaha NE is located 193 miles away.
St Louis is 260 miles away.
Many lesser cities are closer.
And there are lot of 4-lane high ways that lead to KCK.
Can you imagine the ensuing melee that could happen if the price posted was considered a bargain? And the sale was first come-first served?
