OP: This Machine will play however there is an issue with electrical portion of the machine that kicks the ball into the playfield. Could easily be restored. Has all the original paperwork and keys. Sold as is no returns. Pick-up only.

Who'd be interested in those 3 old turds anyway?

#11471 5 years ago

Shit, I might as well just rent a U-Haul, come out there and take everything in the wine cellar too.

Or if the house is available, just leave everything in there and looks like I’m moving to Kansas.

Easy there fellas. They might not like my teams, but they will certainly like this game I’m in the middle of restoring.

Are you selling any games or projects?

It is 190 miles one way. I have the time to make the drive. Only have a way to haul one pin. Not sure if I can haul a DMD pin, though.

I could put myself out for hire, I suppose.

Fly me to KS. Rent me a U-Haul truck. Do Paypal for the pins. I can bring them back here and you can call STI. Pay me for my efforts.

You’re good peeps Craig, thanks for the offer. By the time I add all those costs, I’d be better off looking for fully restored EATPM’s and TAF’s locally.

I would actually do it and have no problem compensating you for your time if I could guarantee I would get each game for under $2k. But with auctions, they do research, I’d have the premium and fees to pay, and they will certainly go for normal values.

Yeah, I know. The long distance pin alway sucks. And you are correct, the auction dealers and estate sellers are aware of the markets for the what they are selling. If you find a bargain it is usually a POS.

I was thinking of making the chase for that Mystic in the same neighborhood but after I watched some YT vids of Mystic I know it is not my style of pin. When it comes to that type of Bally play field, I'm more of a Strikes-n-Spares guy.

Not sure if it helps your cause, but I am 90% sure I will be around KC, Kansas on Sunday to pick up 2 unlisted pins. I can pick up others and bring back to Dallas for shipping if interested. I would have to rent something though (probably a closedtrailer- cheaper), as I can only get 2 pins in my truck. I could prep for STI for your delivery. Help with Uhaul trailer fees and some $ for effort..

I’ll take a better look at the auction site tonight and get back to you or Craig if something is feasible.

I’ll tell you what, I’m glad this thread stays positive and doesn’t turn into the shitshow that other ones do. Real good group of people in here.

As I’ve offered before, if anybody ever needs a game checked out local to me, don’t hesitate to ask. John never does. haha

I contacted the estate sale on price info for those pins and they never got back to me. If they were a decent price, i would be in on it. If that earthshaker is reasonable, please let me know. I can send you the money for it.

I've contacted a lot of these estate sales companies; to find out the title of the pin, ask pricing questions, etc. This seller says that they won't give out pricing information before the sale. They get a lot of requests for information prior to the sale. In the past when I asked for pricing, and their posting said that they won't give out pricing, they've never replied to me.

I imagine people calling for prices before the sale is sort of like people showing up in your driveway at 5am for a garage sale that you advertised as open at 7am.

Still, I do not understand how any harm would be done by giving out pricing info before the sale. They could increase their customer base with published pricing. I don't know too many people who would drive 200 miles without some sort of price info.

OTOH,

KCK is located 190 miles from Wichita.
Omaha NE is located 193 miles away.
St Louis is 260 miles away.

Many lesser cities are closer.

And there are lot of 4-lane high ways that lead to KCK.

Can you imagine the ensuing melee that could happen if the price posted was considered a bargain? And the sale was first come-first served?

Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Game/Type: Sinbad / SS
Year: May 1978
Production: 12,950
Cost: $500
Location: Bakersfield, CA
Pinsider: jwwhite15

OP: I have a project 78' Gottlieb Sinbad FS. It tries to power up. Has battery corrosion. I had to drill the head lock. A1J6 connection needs rebuilt. Backglass is rough. Of course needs cleaning and a shop job. On the flip side, the pf is pretty good, no wear. $500. Further info, pics, etc let me know. Thanx in advance

Pinsider: @dmieczko

OP: Working Black Knight that needs a shop job. Game boots and plays, but the speech is intermittent (probably a connector). P4 display is missing a few segments. Cabinet is solid, but has some checking and someone replaced the bottom at some point. Playfield has some minor wear spots and some insert cupping. Back glass has some flaking. Game needs some new bulbs and rubber rings.

I would have tried to pay for it over the phone with my cc. Then picked it up when the doors opened the day of the estate sale, asking my fellow Pinsiders "Can you help me load this in my suv?" lol

I contacted the seller, they said they had an offer of $575.00.

I told them to take it.
