Manufacturer: Williams
Game/Type: Hot Tip / SS System 3, 4 Player
Month/Year: November 1977
Production: 4,903
Cost: Min Bid $499 Ends 3:35 PM EST Friday 07/06
Location: Millington, MD
Contact/Link: ebay.com link: WILLIAMS 1977 SS HOT TIP Horse Racing PINBALL MACHINE Vintage from Estate

OP: From a local estate cleanout. Previous owners claims that machine was in operational order in 2017 when stored. We plugged in and it powers on, lights up, and left flipper responds. We do not know much about these machines and were unable to get it to play.

Condition wise case would rate a cosmetic 7.5 out of 10. Overall very clean with minimal scuffs and marks.

Playfield rates an 8 out of 10. Paint is intact, shows very little wear or damage.

Looking inside all components appear clean, intact, and complete.

Backglass is in need of some restoration. 2 larger areas of paint loss, primarily in the green field areas. (See Photos). One or two smaller spots the size of a nickel that also are in need of touch-up.

We have done our best to provide clear and accurate descriptions and photos. However, since this machine is not currently playable, it is sold as-is and as-found from local estate. As such there are no warranties or returns expressed or implied.

Starting price is reflective of both running/mechanical order and cosmetic defects. The machine has an approximate value of $900-1350 in restored condition and our bid is fair based on the potential work it needs. Please do not contact with lowball offers.

We cannot wrap or carton this piece for shipping. However, we are willing to work with buyer's choice of blanket wrap or furniture mover. Rick Ships LLC & Plycon are trusted sources that we have used in the past for fragile items and you are more than welcome to contact either for a quote. Our shipping address is in zipcode 21620 and it is a commercial business.

Machine is available for on-site inspection prior to bidding in Chestertown, MD.

Manufacturer: Williams
Game/Type: Grand Prix / EM 4 Player
Month/Year: December 1976
Production: 10,554
Cost: Min Bid $500, Buy it Now $750
Location: Plainview, TX
Link/Contact: ebay.com link: Williams Grand Prix Pinball Electro Mechanical EM 4 player 1976

OP: Bid is for a vintage Williams Grand Prix Pinball machine.

It is one of the very last Electro-Mechanical (EM) machines made, and is a 4-player model that came out in 1976.

Machine back glass and play field are in very good condition with only minor defects that do not detract from play; see photos. Legs have some rust. Back access metal panel has a tiny bit of graffiti less than the size of an eraser. The previous owner seems to have done some rewiring with LED lighting that runs cooler and needs less maintenance, but the unit is otherwise original as far as I know.

HOWEVER, the machine is not currently running. It ran great in 2016 when it went into storage in California. The owner before me had done an amazing job reconditioning the unit, but I moved and had to store it. In 2017, it was finally shipped to my new home in Texas, and when it arrived, it did not work. Everything lights up, but the score wheel continuously attempts to reset to zero and never stops. I feel a minor tune-up would solve the problem, but I can't be sure. The nearest repair shop to me is over 3 hours away, and why have it fixed it only to have it get jostled in my vehicle on the way home?

Please bid as "not working". If you have the skills to fix it, or have access to someone who can, this might be a great deal for you. Prices well under the typical price for this item.

NO SHIPPING. You will need to pick up the item in Plainview, Texas. I will deliver up to 200 miles or so (Texas Panhandle/South Plains, Eastern NM, Western OK) for 50 cents a mile. Contact me about shipping BEFORE you bid.

Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Game/Type: Fun Land / EM 1 Player
Month/Year: May 1968
Production: 3,100

Location: Gilford, New Hampshire, Laconia

OP: This has an amusement park/carnival/boardwalk theme. It scores high on the Internet Pinball Database average fun rating with a 7.8 out of 10. Everything works fine. Cosmetically the game is in average condition for a 50 year old pinball machine. This machine was shopped 4 years ago when I bought it and hasn't been played much since. The game comes with two keys, one for the front door and another for the back. A Fun Land pinball machine was featured in the James Bond movie Casino Royale from 2006. Local pickup only.

That description is incorrect. That's not the home version playfield. It's the commercial Fireball Classic playfield with the wrong apron.

Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Game/Type: Duotron / EM 2 Player
Month/Year: September 1974
Production: 2,525
Cost: $550
Location: St. Clair Shores (Detroit), MI
Link/Contact: detroit.craigslist.org link

OP: Up for sale is a nice 1974 Gottlieb Duotron pinball machine. Overall it is in good physical condition but could use a few touch ups on the cabinet/coin door. It is a fun game and with the theme is a good family game that everyone can enjoy. At the moment single player games work well. There are a couple issues if you add the second playe. If you want the details on the updates you can read them below.

The game has LEDs in most of the back box and some color matched LEDs for the playfield insert lamps. The score reels were rebuilt and work very well. It had one chime coil and contacts replaced and has a new ball/rubber rings on it. Also has a new power cord. The schematics and other spare parts are included.

Single player games are fine. There seem to be a couple issues with the 2nd player if you do a two player came. First is that the 2nd player score reels don't always reset to 0. I do not believe this is a problem with the score reels. It seems more like a dirty contact or adjustment in the player unit.If I manually moved that I was able to get the 2nd player reels to reset to 0. The other issue is the play in play doesn't show when player 2 is up and the 2nd played doens't get the 5th ball. I'm sure someone used to working on EM games will be able to find the issue.

I don't want to deal with shipping at this time so it would need to be picked up in the Detroit, MI area. I can help with disassembly and loading. I'd prefer to sell this outright but would consider trading toward a working or project game like (Spectrum, Xenon, Vector, or Flash Gordon) and can make the appropriate adjustments on price depending upon what you have. From a smoke free home.

Only $550 for the pinball machine as pictured. E-mail if interested.

Price reduced from $550 to $425.

Cost: $600
Location: Allentown, PA
Contact/Link: allentown.craigslist.org link

Condition: 'Something' has happened to this playfield. OP: "Very rare 1975 machine as original as you can find. Bought it around 1979 from a private owner who bought it new. It was NEVER used commercially. Still set up as arcade game which takes quarters. It's been in living room since i bought it and it has been barely used. Hasn't been plugged in for about 10 years. Machine needs all new rubber bumpers which you could buy as a kit and replace inexpensively. Could use a good tune up and maybe some lube possibly. Have original owners manual and separate keys for front and rear doors. No rust on frame or scratches on glass. All paint still sharp and vibrant. Just plugged It in and everything seems to work. Selling just to make some room and because nobody has played with it in years."

I have a Stank-A-Ball in our project queue right now, but it is going back to the owner.

I don’t like it at all. Yes, the backbox animation is cool... but the gameplay is yet another Gottlieb “play for specials” ruleset where the best strategy for winning a tournament or getting a high score is to ignore most of the game... leaving the player with very little to do.

Geometry is the typical lanes -> pops -> hit the center thing -> drain without a return to the top anywhere. No points for completing the set. Boring boring boring.

Krynski was “the machine” in terms of cranking out the designs. Almost a new game every month! But the downside of this much production is too much sameness... and he unavoidably made just as many stinkers as not because of this.

Flipper Pool might retain a spot in the museum, but the geometry would still be “meh”. I’d have to hack Bank-A-Ball to award 500 points or something for completing the set to make it more fun. But this might cause the score to roll over too soon since 1999 is the maximum.

Even in a pay-for-play environment, Bank-A-Ball is just a little too quaint when there are so many other good ones to pick from.

Month/Year: April 1978

Cost: $225

OP: Take Five by Allied Leisure is a two player electronic pinball machine with EM style sounds (chimes etc). Since it is a cocktail machine, it has a small footprint (38 1/2 x 27 1/2) and can be used as a table. A coin operated machine but currently set up for home use (free play).

This machine works but could use some TLC. Mostly new rubbers, and the playfield is in very good shape. Probably needs at least one new capacitor, which I might replace if I can find one.

This game has been spoken for. I believe I'm second on the list. Hard to tell from pics, but yes, seems like a great deal.

Wow...a guy steps away for a couple days and there's a flaming fifty-something posts to catch up on! This thread has been busy!

Quoted from cottonm4:

26 pinsiders own it. 16 pinsiders want it.

I was just thinking how cool it was that you're including this info, then...

Quoted from Pecos:

that is cool how you listed the Pinsiders who own it and want it!

...I saw I wasn't the only one.

Quoted from Pecos:

Now, I ask you, why would you need manuals for a coffee table?

Fine question. After seeing the umpteenth coffee-tablization, I made a little gif(t) for the fine folks of the project pin thread:

NoCoffeeTablesEver.gifNoCoffeeTablesEver.gif

...use it as needed.

Namaste.

Ha, I saw this the other day and was wondering if a group of vintage tractor restorers are losing their mind. The tractor desk may be the equivalent of the pinball coffee table.

OP: Hi
I'm selling my Terminator 2 pinball machine. It works fine but could use a good cleaning.
I also have a couple of project pinball machines. They are F 14 and Red and Teds Road show.
They both work but need to be shopped out and need some playfield repair.
If you are handy with working on pins they are a real bargain!!
Come get your self a nice pinball machine at a reasonable price.
I'm also open to partial trades for man stuff.
Feel free to call for more information.

Contacted buyer. It is not 3250 for all three.

3250 for T2
1650 for F14
2850 for Road Show

Manufacturer: Atari
Game/Type: Middle Earth / SS Widebody
Year: February 1978
Production: Unknown
Cost: $450
Location: Worcester Sauce, RI
Link/Contact: worcester.craigslist.org link

OP: Selling my 1978 Atari middle earth project. cosmetically it's in pretty nice shape for the year couple knicks in the head backglass is near perfect and the playfield is in really nice shape as well cab looks pretty nice as well just a couple spots here and there. Has four new flippers and new rubber installed as well. does not run turns on but locks up. Asking $450 or best offer. Call text or email if interested

Me:A lot of these Atari pins are in really nice shape. That's because they frequently broke down and many techs back in the 80s didn't know how to work on them, therefore low number of plays. Last year at TPF I met the owner of an arcade that I played at a lot in my youth (80s). I asked him what her did when he closed the arcade in 84. He said he had to throw out most of his pins and arcades because of limited storage space at home and a very small collector market. He said the first thing he threw away were all the Atari pins because they were always breaking down and most technicians didn't know how to work on them. Then he threw out all of his Gottlieb series 80 pins.
