I don’t know the state of these but $300 each doesn’t sound too awful. Machines are cabaret, wing ding, and super soccer. I’m not into EM machines or I’d go get them

Quoted from travisbmartin:

I think that was made to make fun of this guy in the Midwest that keeps trying to trade a giant clown balloon for a pin

I think that you have hit it right on the head. I've seen a lot of these ads and that clown is about as goofy looking as I have seen.

"I have a 25ft inflatable clown head that I would like to trade for a 80's and newer working pinball machine. This would be perfect for an arcade or business to use to get peoples attention and attract new customers. Heavy duty commercial grade material made to last. No rips or holes and the blower works great. Let me know what you have."

Manufacturer: Williams
Game/Type: Firepower / SS System 6, 4 Player
Month/Year: February, 1980
Production: 17,410
Cost: $700
Location: Cambridge (Boston), MA
Contact/Link: boston.craigslist.org link
Condition: "Beautiful machine, very good condition. This early 1980's famous pinball machine is a classic machine. The back glass is in perfect condition, the glass alone is worth over $200.
The machine lights up but needs some electric work to make it playable. I just had it evaluated and checked out by Dr. Dave, who repairs machines like this and he said it would cost $300 to $500 to make it awesome. Because there is some costs to fixing it, I am only asking $700. Invest some money in this beautiful machine and you will have one classic machine that is not only fun to play, but also very valuable."

Awesome...this was the first EM I ever owned. Odd artwork, but the bagatelle in the backglass adds a nice scoring element. I just sent him an offer.

~~~~~Mr. Pinball Classifieds~~~~~
Dealers Choice, 1974 Williams: make an offer
Never shopped, seems complete. OK backglass and cabinet. Playfield is rough. Email for pics.
Liberty Bell, 1977 Williams: make an offer
Never shopped, assume it doesn't work. Seems complete, great backglass. Cabinet in better than average shape as is the playfield, dirty though. I may part this out if I don't get any decent offers. I can take and email pictures if there's interest. Going to remodel part of the basement and four games have to go. Three more ads to follow.
Strato-Flite, 1974 Williams: make an offer
Never shopped, missing some parts. OK cabinet and backglass, playfield very rough. Undoubtedly will be parted out.
Yacht Club (bingo), 1953 Bally: make an offer
Never shopped, seems complete except for a homemade front wooden coin rail. Backglass is really great except a strip running towards the top. Email for pics.
It does look like a pretty good deal, and I've never owned one of these. It seems that the constant blipping would become annoying though. Anybody have this game know if you can shut that off via dip switch or otherwise?
#7768 6 years ago
Yes, actually, there is a setting where you can select any of the possible sounds codes for it to send after each swoop of the lights. When we operated it, I used to play around with it. Ultimately staying with one sound that seemed to work best. And yes, no sound is one option.
Quoted from Colsond3:
It does look like a pretty good deal, and I've never owned one of these. It seems that the constant blipping would become annoying though. Anybody have this game know if you can shut that off via dip switch or otherwise?
It is a great deal. I just got my Stellar Wars restored and it is pretty fast for a widebody. It is a so-so game until I tweaked the factory settings. Changed 3 balls/game to 5 balls/game and changed the bonus multiplier to restore instead of reset after each ball.
You can have an instant draino or long ball times. There is plenty to shoot at:
Eject hole that advances points
Captive ball that, when lit, advances letter
2X, 3X, 4X and 5X bonus multiplier
Five pop bumpers with two at the bottom
Two sets of three drop target banks
One four drop target bank
Four flipper inlanes
Two spinners in the alleyways to the top
A 'special when lit' stand-up target
Getting 'S-T-E-L-L-A-R W-A-R-S', has to be in one ball, is a big rush with the thunder sound effects and flashing lights under the large red insert. This game is loaded for a 1979 game and the rule-set is deep enough to keep you curious 'what happens next.'
I can confirm that the 'constant blipping' can be turned off. It is the default setting. I turned it on because I like MORE!
Someone should go grab this one.
Well, you talked me into trying to move on this one. Unfortunately, there is no contact information in the ad. Probably not prudent to go around Bloomfield, knocking on doors!
Will see if they update
I've already hit the no contact information button three times since last night. Ad hasn't been updated yet. He has other pins in the background, so it's not a single game in the basement for 20 years kind of person.
Hopefully one of us walks away with the game.
I'm pretty miffed about this one. I saw the listing and contacted the seller -- only to discover that I'd been messaging with him back in November, as he'd apparently put this up for sale back then. He'd promised me more pictures then, but never sent them. I'd followed up a few days later, and never heard back.
Now here it is for sale again, so I reach out again ... and he replies a few hours later that it's already sold. Argh!!! Wanted it.
I never would've been able to get there yesterday anyway, with all the tourist traffic for the SpaceX Falcon Heavy. Oh well...
King Pin, 1973 Gottlieb: 800 OBO
Overall nice condition, backglass has some minor loss in the reds. Plays all the way. Can also incl a few vintage targets then if you should break one you won't need to replace all of them with bright white. Feel free to call or text. I travel throughout the NY, NJ, PA area and make regular trips to Baltimore as well and can always deliver to these areas once paid in full. Www.preservationpinball.com.
Moulin Rouge, 1965 Williams: 400
Game is complete but is being sold as a project. Cabinet has been touched up extensively prior to my receiving it. I can repaint the cabinet and reassemble at an additional cost. Has coin mech, backdoor, proper legs and good original plastics and caps. Www.preservationpinball.com.
Also have an additional, partially stripped playfield in better cosmetic shape that can be added at an additional cost. I can also touch up or repaint cabinet at the buyer's discretion.
