Quoted from Pecos:

Good to know. Thanks cactusjack!
Plus the backglass art has better Pointy People and that 'bug' car is outrageous! The more I see Marche's artwork on Doodle Bug the more I like it.

What's interesting on Dipsy Doodle is on the flyer, the sample game was built as a 4 digit game. For production, it's a 5 digit game (dummy zero reel). Another interesting transition is at Swinger and fun fest. Swinger features the older larger score reels. Funfest uses the new smaller score reels. This is one reason I like swinger better (besides the name fits the central game feature). Of course, the larger score reels are known for more "buzz". Especially when the game has seen lots of plays.

This isn't a project, but I see this title selling for $2,500-3,000, usually on the higher end.

Manufacturer: Bally
Game/Type: World Cup Soccer/ SS
Month/Year: February 1994
Production: 8,743
Cost: $1,500
Location: Manchester, NH
Contact/Link: nh.craigslist.org link

OP: Fully shopped 18 months ago, LEDs, etc. could use a waxing and at the firm price listed I'm not doing it. Priced to move, if you see ad it's still available.

I find this one a little hard to believe. At $1500 that would be gone in less that 5 minutes. I am guessing it either sold instantly and he didn't remove the ad or its a scam

#6262 1 year ago

This is from a garage sale that was run this last weekend, but the ad is still up.

Manufacturer: Bally
Game/Type: Space Time / EM 4 Player
Month/Year: September 1972
Production: 5,000
Cost: Make offer
Location: Redding, CA

OP: A LOT to look at!!! Furniture, men and women's clothing, women's shoes, pinball machine, tables, chairs, artwork, books, kids toys.. and much more! C'mon over and make us an offer!!!

Game/Type: Strikes and Spares / SS
Year: June 1978
Production: 12,820
Cost: $700
Location: Orlando, FL
Link/Contact: orlando.craigslist.org link

OP: Bally Strikes and Spares Pinball Machine. Plays great. Old school chimes. Has Altek Ultimate MPU board. Player 4 display flaky, jiggling the connector brings it in. I will try to fix. Backglass is near perfect. Playfield has wear around numbers, but much nicer than most you see. I need room, so selling for cash. No trades.

The Jacks Open looks to be a fully restored pin, not a project, but that is a really cheap price for a restored pin ranked #20 on Pinside's top 100 EM list.

Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Game/Type: Volley / EM 1 Player
Month/Year: August 1976
Production: 2,900
Cost: $450 OBO
OP: $450/or best offer. 1976 Gottleib Volley. Working condition, but needs some minor work. Score calculator doesn't calculate ten thousands and game counter doesn't count accurately, but very easy to reset for more games. All lights work and everything else is in great condition. Original artwork on cabinet. Set to free play, no coins needed. Pick up in Ocean Pines.

Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Game/Type: Jacks Open / EM 1 Player
Month/Year: February 1977
Production: 2,975
Cost: $750 OBO
Contact/Link: easternshore.craigslist.org link

Location: Ocean Pines, MD

Seller also has arcade projects in his Craigslist ad.

Manufacturer: Gottlieb
Game/Type: Buccaneer / EM 1 Player
Year: June 1976
Production: 3,650
Cost: $500 OBO
Location: Monroe, WI
Link/Contact: rockford.craigslist.org link

OP: This pinball is complete, just needing playfield reassembly. The playfield was fully cleaned and waxed but i ended up moving and i wrapped up the game probably 2-3 years ago to seal crap out and haven't gotten a chance to finish it. The playfield is currently stripped of parts (See photos) but i have everything in a box including a brand new rubber kit. Cabinet is solid and game plays perfectly fine. Legs are a little rusty.

I'd be all over that Volley. Wouldn't want to go through the hassle of shipping plus added price, but if I were local I'd hit it. $450 or less sounds pretty fair for what appears to be a decently working machine sans a few glitches.

There is a "local" one by me for around $1,500, so not so much jumping there.

A worthy candidate for a full restoration. The perfect winter Project Pin?

Manufacturer: Bally
Game/Type: Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy / EM 4 Player
Month/Year: September 1975
Production: 16,155
Cost: $200 Firm
Location: Denham Springs (Baton Rouge), LA
Contact/Link: batonrouge.craigslist.org link

Condition: "This item was in the 2016 flood, and received water in the box. The ply is separating on the cabinet and will probably have to be replaced. The machine lights up when plugged in. I can push a relay to reset the score bank, but the machine won't progress to the next player and finish the startup sequence. This machine is a major restoration or donor machine. The legs, bolts, schematics, and back box lock are included with this machine."

I have a customer with an Abra Ca Dabra that Hurricane Sandy submerged the control board in a half inch of salt water. The switches were growing a green corrosion.
20150425_114406 (resized).jpg
I did get it going again.

Clearly, that Capt. Fantastic had it worse, and might have had a better chance if it was fixed right away. But I think with enough patience, alcohol (the 99% isopropyl variety ) and nicovolta 's dremel-saber, you could get this running.

The cabinet might be a different story

This is the third time this game has been listed by the same owner and the first time with some pics you can see the damage. I don't like to see any pin not saved, but for $200 I just don't see anyone ever buying it. When it was listed it's second time and with just a few pics I had contacted the seller, and was going to look at it but learning it had been flooded I passed.

#6283 1 year ago

Even the backglass on that Captain is toast. They never go bad. That game must have sat in 100% humidity for quite a long time.

I barely consider that a parts machine. The world won't miss one less CF.

I just can't figure out why the playfield looks pretty presentable. I am guessing the paint will come right off when the ball starts rolling around on it.

My guess is that they are salvageable but at a time cost that makes it a parts machine.

Yah, I had bought an Atari Superman that looked good, but once I started to clean it
all the paint came off.
