I find this one a little hard to believe. At $1500 that would be gone in less that 5 minutes. I am guessing it either sold instantly and he didn't remove the ad or its a scam
This is from a garage sale that was run this last weekend, but the ad is still up.

OP: Bally Strikes and Spares Pinball Machine. Plays great. Old school chimes. Has Altek Ultimate MPU board. Player 4 display flaky, jiggling the connector brings it in. I will try to fix. Backglass is near perfect. Playfield has wear around numbers, but much nicer than most you see. I need room, so selling for cash. No trades.

OP: This pinball is complete, just needing playfield reassembly. The playfield was fully cleaned and waxed but i ended up moving and i wrapped up the game probably 2-3 years ago to seal crap out and haven't gotten a chance to finish it. The playfield is currently stripped of parts (See photos) but i have everything in a box including a brand new rubber kit. Cabinet is solid and game plays perfectly fine. Legs are a little rusty.

I'd be all over that Volley. Wouldn't want to go through the hassle of shipping plus added price, but if I were local I'd hit it. $450 or less sounds pretty fair for what appears to be a decently working machine sans a few glitches.
There is a "local" one by me for around $1,500, so not so much jumping there.

Quoted from Pecos:Please inform those of us who rarely see standing water what a flood does to the switches. Are they completely unsalvageable?
I have a customer with an Abra Ca Dabra that Hurricane Sandy submerged the control board in a half inch of salt water. The switches were growing a green corrosion.
20150425_114406 (resized).jpg
I did get it going again.
Clearly, that Capt. Fantastic had it worse, and might have had a better chance if it was fixed right away. But I think with enough patience, alcohol (the 99% isopropyl variety ) and NicoVolta 's dremel-saber, you could get this running.
The cabinet might be a different story

This is the third time this game has been listed by the same owner and the first time with some pics you can see the damage. I don't like to see any pin not saved, but for $200 I just don't see anyone ever buying it. When it was listed it's second time and with just a few pics I had contacted the seller, and was going to look at it but learning it had been flooded I passed.
Even the backglass on that Captain is toast. They never go bad. That game must have sat in 100% humidity for quite a long time.
I barely consider that a parts machine. The world won't miss one less CF.
I just can't figure out why the playfield looks pretty presentable. I am guessing the paint will come right off when the ball starts rolling around on it.
Quoted from Pecos:Please inform those of us who rarely see standing water what a flood does to the switches. Are they completely unsalvageable?
My guess is that they are salvageable but at a time cost that makes it a parts machine.

Yah, I had bought an Atari Superman that looked good, but once I started to clean it
all the paint came off.
