Quoted from bluespin:

petetomaszek You listed this item on Craigslist four days ago for $400, but your Pinside ad says $500. Will you lower your Pinside price to $400 to match your Craigslist price?

11 pictures on Pinside = $100 more price. Only thing I could come up with.

I've driven seven and a half hours each way before for the right dark and fuzzy photo LOL I agree with you that's part of the game. Are you going to be able to make the trip to the York show next week there should be plenty of those games around that place

Quoted from ForceFlow:

I will drive 3 hours each way at the drop of a hat for a dark, fuzzy craigslist photo. It's part of the fun.

I've gone 5 hours one way for a seawitch based on the blurry photos. "Perfect backglass and super clean......." turned out to be flaking bad with a mouse living in it. It happens. Only time I've ever driven a distance like that and turned around lol.

It seems like most "project" games I see these days are EM machines that just need some relays cleaned. At least near me anyways. What happened to all the battery destroyed MPU boards. Have we fixed them all lol

#6107 1 year ago

Mine turned out almost the same way they were holding the cabinet together with metal brackets from Lowe's on the outside and we're still at $1,500
I said Thank you and left

This is pretty close to my house. I am thinking of going to look at it. phoenix.craigslist.org link

Based on the ad, what do you think an appropriate price range for this machine is? ( in it's current condition)

I wish their were better pictures of the playfield and the box; the fact there isn't leads me to believe they are selling it from an antique perspective instead of a pinsider perspective.

Anyone ever play it? The fact there is no center chute, is interesting to me.

#6110 1 year ago

No backglass, possibly 3 missing inserts in the playfield. No shot of the cabinet paint Condition. As is, probably around $100 to $200.

This thread has become a source of information for prices listed for Project Pins. To get a list of all posts containing 'Mayfair' put the term 'Mayfair' in the 'Containing keyword(s)...' search box at the top right of the page. It will take you to this page:

https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/post-project-pins-for-sale-here-cl-ebay-pinside-and-others?tq=Mayfair&tu

Remember, though, that these are listed prices and not necessarily the prices that the game sold for. You would expect 'sold for' prices to be less than the listed price.

You can also go to Pinside's game archive and search for 'Mayfair.' You can get to the game archive by clicking on 'Games' in the Options Bar at the top of the page under the Pinside logo. Enter 'Mayfair' in the Quick Search box and click the 'Find games' button. Some games will show an average of the price sold and a range for the game you are searching for. Some won't. Unfortunately, Mayfair has no sold history on Pinside.

You then have to take condition into account. You can deduct money for not having a backglass, assuming the other games listed did have backglasses. But please be aware that a lot the Project Pins that have been listed in this thread have flaws of their own. It's 'ballpark' at best but it can give you some idea of the value of the game that you are interested in buying.

Or you could just ask and some kind Pinsider, someone like CactusJack, could chime in with a price range for you.

dashingdaryl This is a two player wedgehead, not a very popular title, and is probably only worth $500-600 if the playfield and cabinet are in nice condition. If you search this forum using the filter "find in this forum" you will see that this title has been offered on Craigslist for $250-350 with the backglass. The most popular wedgehead were the one player versions because they could offer more complex scoring bonus opportunities if there was only one scoring reel.

The playfield has some planking, but should clean up well. There is one broken drop target, but they are available at Pinball resource. I may have a used one that I will include with the machine. There are no broken plastics. I have not tested it. Possible delivery to The York show, or pick up in Manahawkin NJ. I can also ship the game.
