Quoted from vec-tor:

The game is a Jon Norris game. It is one of the first pinballs machines by Primer/Gottlieb to max-out the system 80's design structure. I believe The game has a lamp expander relay and serial communications to the displays. The back glass has its own story. It is very amusing.

I know I am probably in the minority but I actually love the cheesy 80s themes from gottlieb/premier. I have had two Genesis machines and have a framed original translite lol. To me they are just cheesy enough to have some awesome 80s nostalgic collectibility. But +1 on gameplay for these things. For the money 80b provided a lot of bang for you buck

I played the heck out of bad girls in my local arcade in the 80's,just bought one last month that needs restoration,i would have picked this up as well if it was in my neck of the woods.

Quoted from RonSS:

Must be the going rate, here is one by me for the same price:

A very satisfactory transaction.

Nice drive there and back with the Mrs., light traffic, great seller, machine in decent shape and home owned for a number of years and had two wiring diagrams and a raft of other documents and parts.

Odd problem with the replay relay only seeing half wall voltage, need to trace that out. Cleaned up the Jones plugs which got things going when manually triggering the relay and played several games. I'm a sucker for backglass animations and 60's Bally/Williams pins.

EMs scare me. Glad you can bring these puppies back to life.

Actually I had my eyeballs on it for a few days since it popped up on my twice daily trawl of the interwebs =)

Surprised the NJ Delta Queen is not gone, down to $250! The playfield does not appeal to me or I would have scooped that up on the same trip.

Really need to move along 4-5 titles that I have referb'd and decided we like other titles better. Wife is really liking Star Action, might have finally dethroned High Flyer as her favorite and I can move it (High Flyer) along.

Not my favorite but she loves the game a bunch, real poor spinner placement by Chicago Coin on that one.

RonSS I felt the same way. Was totally intimidated by them until I took @nicovolta's EM class.

Kicking myself for a few EM's I passed on because of that.

You do get your tough ones! Lucky Strike is going to be interesting, I'm still puzzling over how a 120 volt coil can have 43 volts going to it... with nothing going on.

Heh

Unfortunately, most of those prices are already too high for projects once you figure in shipping and the cost of parts you have to drop into them. Besides, I prefer to inspect the games in person. Plus, ebay auctions aren't a good way to get a bargain.

#5926 6 years ago

I know this isn't exactly a project, but might help someone with a williams 60s project already needing parts. Ok, this is a limited time offer. I bought a williams suspense backbox at auction, but I really only need the backglass out of it. The rest of it would cost too much to ship by freight across country. It is at the shipper in Phoenix and they are going to pull the backglass but the rest of it has lots of good parts. Surely someone out there can drive over and get something for free. Hate to see the rest thrown out. PM me and I'll put you in touch with shipper.

UPDATE - Pecos will be picking this up. Thanks Pecos.

Comes with instructions, spare lights and other random parts. Call for more pictures or video. Will be in garage sale Friday 9/8, Sat 9/9. Machines of this age tend to require some upkeep, so it is being sold 'as-is' with no guarantees. Similar machines are being sold for $1,000 or more. Will be sold to first person to arrive with cash. Month/Year: April 1964
Production: 2,250
Cost: $295
Location: Joppa (Baltimore), MD
Contact/Link: Mike: baltimore.craigslist.org link

Condition: "This game is a project and will need to be refurbished. The single player game has a sports type theme. The playfield will need to be cleaned up and new rebound rubbers added. The plastic set is dirty and should clean up okay (I cleaned up the bottom two plastics with some polish). The backglass is presentable with some minor crazing/flaking. The cabinet has the original paint and is in fair shape. Mechanically, things look to be in pretty nice shape. The credit unit is disconnected because someone put the game on free play. The coin mechs are also missing. Everything else seems to be there except the back door to the head. The legs will also have to be cleaned up. If you like to tinker or you are looking to get into pinballs at a low price, this is a good entry level em (electro-mechanical game)."

2500 of anything is a lot! 2500 Project Pin posts is a truckload of pins needing some TLC. I can only hope that some of these have gotten that TLC and live on to bring joy during a time when the world seems to be going nuts. I know that a few have made it into good hands. I have seen the pictures!

I wanted to post an ad for my favorite game, Williams OXO, but I couldn't find one. So instead, I will show you a couple pics of my OXO and the playfield touch-up I did earlier this year:

oxo_upper_playfield_before_restoration (resized).jpgoxo_upper_playfield_before_restoration (resized).jpg

For those of you who might have been wondering about my avatars, I will tell you the backstory.

This is my favorite. This is a Round-Tailed Ground Squirrel baby who posed for me on my garden hose. This was taken with a Fujica 35 MM camera.

baby_ground_squirrel_480x480 (resized).jpgbaby_ground_squirrel_480x480 (resized).jpg

baby_ground_squirrel_hose_lg (resized).jpgbaby_ground_squirrel_hose_lg (resized).jpg

This is Pecos. He was the best pet I have ever had. The picture was taken by a neighbor using a 35 MM camera. I write up his many shenanigans here:

http://pecos-softwareworks.com/pecos.shtml

pecos_480x480 (resized).jpgpecos_480x480 (resized).jpg

This is Theodore. He lost his mother and was raised from a tiny baby with his eyes closed by a local Tucsonan. If you know anything about baby rodents, then you will know that babies that small don't usually make it. I just saw Theodore a few days ago and it was a real treat to see him close-up and personal and to hold him.

avatar_theodore (resized).jpgavatar_theodore (resized).jpg

DSCF3003 (resized).JPGDSCF3003 (resized).JPG

And finally, there have been OXO and XOX avatars. RyanClaytor made the XOX image for me. Thanks Ryan!

XOX_lg (resized).jpgXOX_lg (resized).jpg

There is an article to go with these two avatars too:

I want to thank all Pinsiders who have participated in the Project Pin thread.

There have been so many, 257 to be exact. I always enjoy reading your posts and it is special when I see pictures of a Project Pin that one of you have brought home.

So, now I begin with my trek to 5000 posts, beginning tomorrow! I don't know whether to use or .
