I love all pinball machines but I grew up playing on a Gottlieb Queen of Diamonds and Pro Pool. So naturally I have the most love for Gottlieb games ! Gottlieb is a legendary pinball company that will live on forever. It's always a shock to me seeing Gottlieb games due to such low production rates in the 80's and 90's. I always personally thought Gottlieb had the coolest and most unique themes out of all the companies! Games like Class of 1812 and TX Sector to name a few. Post some photos of your Gottlieb pins and how/where you got them! Like I said, I love all companies but Gottlieb has always been a favorite due to their creativity and innovation! Can't wait to see what you all got.

So, people should post pics of their solid state Gottliebs in the EM section?

IMHO, Gottlieb was king of the EM era and then Williams (and Bally) without a doubt took the lead during the solid-state era and Gottlieb never really got it back again (especially in the DMD era, eugh), probably hence the lower production numbers too. I think is the general opinion around anyways too, but I'm sure there's a lot of people who love their Gottlieb solid states and I'm not calling them bad, I'm just saying they were no longer king in my opinion and I think that was the public's opinion back then too.

    Anyways, I own:

    Gottlieb Spin-A-Card
    Gottlieb Domino
    Gottlieb Airport
    Gottlieb Mayfair
    Gottlieb Magnotron
    Gottlieb Wild Life
    ------------------------
    Gottlieb Devil's Dare

I've been posting all of my gameroom pics around way too much today so you can look in my recent post history for all of them but here's one to contribute to the thread.

Plowpusher, have you tried brightening that 4th player Buck Rogers display yet? If not, it's easy and works great.

The loop shot on Star Race is very, very tough! I've had mine for over 18 yrs. and still not tired of it.

    #18 7 years ago

Yes , that one was dead but was able to bring it back to life but just on the dim side

    #19 7 years ago

Star Race backglass looks awsome with LEDs , the loop shot is very satisfying when you get it .

    #20 7 years ago

I never saw a bounty hunter before. Looks incredible and a lot of fun.

I like the look of the old bulbs better but have considered getting the LEDS that mimic the old style. I place my flashers so that it looks like the front of their ships are lighting up and my grandson loves it. I have Circus also, both are awesome and built like tanks. Many say that their unreliable but if you do the mods, I think they're as good as most any pin built. After playing Star Race or Circus for awhile the more modern pins feel like toys in comparison

Love my Gottliebs! We just sold a Lights, Camera Action that we enjoyed for a couple of years. Earlier this year, I brought a Bone Busters, Inc back to life and shared it with the community at SFGE 2016 in Atlanta. We still have a Genesis (it was at SFGE 2015) and I just started working on a Class of 1812. We also picked up a Waterworld that's beautiful. I'll try to get some pics up soon.
    Best,
    Tim

1979 Pinball Pool was one of the machines played in IFPA LA State Championship Pinball Tournament back in Feb, 2016.
And often times I've brought that machine to Houston Arcade & Pinball Expo, and to Texas Pinball Festival over the past few years.

Had a shift round in the games room to make a nice Gottlieb line up.

Anyone in UK or Europe with a Bounty Hunter or Gold Wings they're prepared to let go, give me a shout, cheers.
