Quoted from Mr68:Here's an additional suggestion. The Re-Birth of RGP, (Rec Games Pinball).
RGP is an old Google group for pinball that has been abandoned in favor of Pinside. It has ZERO moderators there and it's a Pinball forum. It's easy to join with an email and you obsessed, political instigators could live the remainder of your lives there.
Back in my day, they called it Usenet.
The reason that the USENET newsgroup rec.games.pinball is irrelevant today is because anyone and everyone who wanted to participate, in whatever form or fashion they wanted, could, and did.
Eventually the people who contributed the value there grew tired of the few (but relentless!) voices who spewed negativity and bullshit.
Typical human beings.
That's why everybody left.
Pinside filled the void that google groups (accessibility) and r.g.p (USENET) left behind.
I hate moderation. I'd rather die than be moderated.
This is the perfect way to handle it.
Don't let a good crisis go to waste.
If you don't like it, then just go somewhere else -- don't participate.
That is the way the world works.
It's one little thread that you don't have to participate in.
Because you're the expert on this topic!!!
And it is bogging down the lives of everyone.
Do what you want.
But do me a favor. Do not pass google groups off for fact as USENET rec.games.pinball.
