That is one of the benefits of those rubber barrel holders. Allows the plastic to lift up. Especially on games with no replacement plastics available.
Easy to get the ball out. Will not get stuck in your nut driver, if it falls into the cabinet will not short out anything.

Nice one Does that thing even have a ball search?

Nope. After 30 seconds it goes back into attract mode with the ball still stuck.

I had the same problem on Count Down, and its due to the cupped insert + save post. Slow moving balls would stick there once/twice a game. Didn't affect fast balls. I ended up heating the insert and rotating it slightly so the cup pushed the ball to the side instead of into the post.
yesterday, meeting/tournament in Sars la Rosières, and got 3 moments linked to this topic :
jack-bot : not 1 but 2 balls blocked "behind" the bank target (which was down), than only a slope prob (no pic)
x-men : while in MB, put the 4 balls on the left scoop, as i already did it on TRON, which is quite similar (no pic)
and finally this one on TF
Quoted from skywalker:...finally worked the balls out for a triple drain
and than become completly mad ! i know...
Quoted from 85vett:Guess I cleaned the PF to much as the ball is going crazy fast now. Had this happen from the left sling.
cool, as i got the perfect same, pic must be somewhere above
Once i somehow got the ball stuck inside the upper tunnel on my Swords of Fury and had to tear it down to get it out, never found out how it got stuck up there, and i didnt take a pic.
Oh Darcy you're right man. I don't know what I was thinking. I deserve a downvote or two for a misappropriation of a lebowski quote.
Balls never get stuck on that machine. It was a mean bounce off the gobble hole and wedged itself on top of that rubber
