From what I understand, Japan is actually 100 volts @ 50 Hz, as opposed to the United State's 120 volts @ 60Hz. You'll most likely need to find a step up transformer and frequency converter for the game. I know there's a way to natively convert power requirements in the game itself using various jumpers and such, but I have no clue how to do that honestly.
