If going on vacation in Portland, OR, where is a good area, or hotel to stay in? Centrally Located to lots pinball games, no driving needed.
    Thank you.

You could Airbnb a place close to Hawthorne on the east side

Download pinball map app if you have a smart phone

    Cbar
    Scoreboard
    Belmont inn

C Bar, Scoreboard, and Belmont are all recommended here too. C Bar is my favorite spot in PDX by far (great games, people, and food), then Scoreboard (awful atmosphere and smells like piss but games are good) and Belmont also have good games. Clinton Street Pub has a few decent games too, and of course there's the arcade everyone thinks of when they think of PDX, Ground Kontrol. The pins there vary from good to mediocre, but they get totally slammed on weekend nights so avoid during that time if you want to retain some sanity.

Highly recommend airbnb, way cheaper and you can get far better amenities. We stayed here (which was in upper portland about 4 miles from ground kontrol), but really nice (full kitchen, washer and dryer, wifi, private access, HD cable TV, apple tv, guest netflix account, $840 for 8 days including cleaning service and occupancy tax):

How soon you going? Portland is getting a new arcade twice the size of ground kontrol sometime in March called quarterworld:

As far as driving, I don't think there's a single place in portland you can't get to by train or bus (and a short walk).

When here, rent a car & take a day trip to Eugene & visit Blairalley & Level up, then on the way back hit the coin jam & Union barrel in Salem.
