hahaha that's funny!
Lots of bands that I would love to made into pins, but doubt any will actually happen.
Pink Floyd - licensing nightmare?
ELO - not a big enough fan base.
Genesis - too niche.
ABBA - people would buy this I think
Sweet - way past sell by date.
Supertramp - not enough fans.
Queen - Pinballbrothers version ain't going to be what Stern version would have been.
Seems like Black Sabbath will be a day 1 sell out, so have to think this will happen.
Foo Fighters - Jack Danger? Has to have Grohl doing call outs, and a narrative.
Interesting that 8 of the top 10 in this list are pins!
Only Pink Floyd and Eagles not done.

You're wrong about ELO. Jeff Lynne's been selling out arenas in the US and stadiums in Europe since he started touring again a few years ago.

Happy to be wrong!
They were there at the last Pinburgh, and now wish I had grabbed a ticket.
Artwork could be insane and the music works great in a pinballing context.
Add a UFO narrative, and put me down for an LE
Quoted from dantebean:Loved seeing this discussion. So of course including The Cars, I would be excited for ELO, The Who, Prince, Genesis, and The Police. So after the comic book pin IP, then the popular movie IP, the next band pin will be........................
[quoted image]
"Actually"
I'm hoping to catch them in Chicago this year!
Quoted from beelzeboob:Army of Me multiball!
They will never make a Bjork pin, but Army of Me is a great song and would kill it in a multiball.
Quoted from Yoko2una:I challenge anyone to find someone who has the same timeless beauty and also more musically successful than Susanna Hoffs.
Maybe not 'timeless' beauty, but Debbie Harry was a looker in her day and certainly has the music catalogue to surpass The Bangles.
Could also throw into contention Wendy James of Transvision Vamp
If Hollywood can make a biographic film and it be a success, that would suggest a large fan base.
Elton John, Bruce Springsteen & Queen (Freddy Mercury) have all that had honour in recent years.
Then consider Bowie, Prince, Bon Jovi, Oasis to name a few and you can see there are still plenty of artists to chose from, before companies need to start straying into less 'traditionally pinball popular' music genres such as Country or Rap
I'm surprised no one has mentioned Deep Purple. Talk about excellent pinball music.
Or, Jethro Tull. give me some Aqualung multiball please.
Quoted from StoneyCreek:Jethro Tull. give me some Aqualung multiball please.
Yeah, Tull! Top 5 band for me. Even fewer "hit" songs in the US than Rush, though, and I think all the songs for a pin would have to be from the first half of their discography, before 1980.
Also, I doubt ol' FluteFace would be as into recording callouts as the Rush boys. He'd probably think the game would be bells and chimes like the Zep guys did.
Ok, I know we will never see a "Steel Panther" themed pin and I can understand why. The toys would be so great.
But what do you think about a "Rammstein" pin? I am not the biggest fan, but I think their music and aestethics would realy work in a game.

I would be down for either. Just saw both in the last few years.
If Rammstein, it must have flame throwers under glass.
Quoted from Gibo:What no love for Deep Purple, plenty of great songs to base a pinball on.
Great to see Micky Dee found a gig with the Scorps, what a career.
I saw Motörhead at least 20 times, what a great Drummer, and even better person, got to meet him and Lemmy after a show in San Diego in 2001.

I had a Kind Diamond "Abigail" on vinyl that was signed by the line up including him. Wish I still had it.
B52s. …. Welcome to the Love Shack! Lots of possibility! “Roam” multiball. And name another pin that could have a big Rock Lobster on the playfield?
Quoted from manadams:Tool is the elephant in the room of band themes, so much content and potential!!!
I 10000000% agree. The art alone would be amazing. Not to mention content and music. It’s so deserved. Also, Maynard has a Kiss pin so I’m sure he’s into it!
Quoted from gonzo73:Great to see Micky Dee found a gig with the Scorps, what a career.
Yeah, and it gives them an excuse to do Motorhead covers. When I saw them at a festival a while back they did Overkill.
I'm actually surprised how FEW band pins there have been.
Only 18 with 4 of them being done twice.
Pins actually named after the band (so discounting the likes of Tommy and Captain Fantastic) and excluding retheme or custom pins.
Or am I missing some?
Weird Al now too.
Also the Primus private release if you want to count that.
If you want to stretch, you can count Al's Garage Band, and the Monster Bash band
Someone doing the Beatles using the later music and images with a modern design would be killer.
Otherwise Air Supply would be cool also (no dumber than half the other suggestions and probably sold more records)

panthera an iron maiden 1982 are no band pins :-/
Who can forget Roy Clark the Entertainer and Rob Zombie?
But yeah, for all the pissing and moaning, there’s been relatively few band pins.
They fucking sell and they always will until the last classic rock station has folded up its antenna. Don’t like it, start your own company like spooky and make your own oddball themes.
Uh, including Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper.
