What machine of the DMD era has the most pop bumpers? I know TAF has 5, but can't think of any other machine which has 4 let alone 5. When was 3 considered the default?
no others with 5 according to ipdb.
3 is the default because having two isn't very interesting, but since pop bumpers have no real point when you just shove them in a corner with only one exit there's no reason to have 4
Quoted from Zitt:Incorrect. Black hole has 6. 4 top; two on bottom PF.
Incorrect? On What? Black Hole doesn't have a DMD.
Quoted from TopMoose:I have a DMD game with no pops at all. And it's really fun.
Is that Shadow? There are a few more with no pops I think.

Junk Yard. I can't think of any others offhand, but there are a few non-DMD games with no pops: Victory, Spectrum, Jungle Lord, and Pharaoh come to mind.
Edit: forgot about Dredd.
Interestingly the prototype Tommy had 6, but production only had 3:

Subject was/is very generic. I didn't realize the criteria is that the machine must have a DMD.

Terribly confusing
Quoted from WJxxxx:What machine of the DMD era has the most pop bumpers?
Quoted from Zitt:"Pop Bumpers: which DMD era machine has the most"
Or you could just admit you fucked up reading something? Oh I know, it's the internet making a simple mistake doesn't exist...must be someone else's fault.
Quoted from dr_nybble:My Monopoly begs to differ! Two clusters of three.
RBION also has 6.
Rbion is the Kong of pop bumpers. It also has a neat doublt sided scoop, some spinners, and a Vari-target.
In other words, grade A top notch fun- and penguins that sound like ducks!
Quoted from Zitt:Geeze. Sensitive much?
Yes, my Pinside man period starts at the end of every long grueling month of the forums.
I apologize.
