Usually DC coils mean they have diodes on them, but since it's an EM the diode isn't needed anyway (although it wouldn't hurt). I'd add one if the original had one

You should check Amusements Plus in the city, they might have one on hand, save you the shipping. If not I might also have one sitting around...
