The metal protectors make the scoop shot on my Jurassic Park too tight. There is very little wear on the outholes so I was thinking about just putting a few coats of clear Polyurethane on it. Has anyone experimented with this?

That's exactly what I do, and for the exact same reason. Be aware it won't last forever, and you will have to reapply periodically. Also I don't recommend putting poly over art as it tends to be a little yellow. It looks fine over the wood area though. When the poly begins to wear, just hit it with an emery board or sandpaper and coat again. I do my scoops maybe once a year. This keeps the wear contained to the poly, which is continually replaced.

Thaank you. I had a JP many years ago, before the protectors came out and damn I could work that board like a champ. Got this new one a couple of years ago and I just don't play it much. The scoops are too tight and only one of every 3 shots makes it in when it used to be 2/3. Totally changes the original intended gameplay. Thanks for the advice.
