Is this your new SE ? That pin is brand new?!? That's disconcerting to say the least

So is that the post right under the left backstage post? No washer there correct?

How do your sling posts look, although I don't know if i'd want to look

Quoted from BallPin:

I wouldn't worry too much. It's still the same 3 playfields I keep seeing over and over.

I'm seeing way more than 3, jandrea95 is a new one to me

I'm thinking the thing to do is immediate damage control. Stop the line. Get a new playfield supplier and make the playfields that have gone out already and damaged whole. Yeah it sucks, $ lost, but put that on the vendor. They need to get out in front of this as future sales are going to plummet with this issue and complete silence from JJP. I bet people would be willing to wait on a tested and true product if only given a hint that there was work being done behind the scenes to rectify the issue (which there probably is - but a hint or a statement would go a LOOOOOOONG way). Right now it looks BAD from a PR standpoint. I've got a $2000 deposit down on an LE and starting to get really worried.

Way more? Really? Agree that jandreas is new, though I am still interested in the details of his case since I have an se coming tomorrow

Not just in this thread but on other facebook groups and threads

That post looks like it takes a beating, right in the JETS path

Quoted from protectors:

We got our SE yesterday. Unfortunately there were these black plastic washers installed under the slingshot posts. Looks not really nice so we thought of an alternative.
We have produces a laser cut 2mm plexiglas which can be installed under the posts - from our point of view it spreads the pressure better than those washers.
It fits perfect with a playfield protector.
At this time we can not really tell if it helps but we keep you posted.
If wanted we can offer this solution but without any waranty regarding an improvement and also without any waranty regarding potential playfield damages.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Watching, very curious to see your results

Quoted from NightTrain:

Don’t you feel like it would better for the posts to be more tight? If they are loose, they can move and cause the pooling/chipping. I think there needs to be a fine balance between loose and too tight.

The posts only need to be hand tight, the rail only needs to be secure, not bolted down tight, hence the entire reason for putting fiber washers underneath the posts, you are making contact but not forcing the rail to cut into the playfield. These posts for the rails are differnet than the sling post contact points

Quoted from cybevenom:

Put me down for the same period.
Pooling in the left outlanepost and cracks growing behind the JAM target. One week plays between the foto's of the cracks. You can see it grow. 25th July playfield date.
Almost 2 month playtime now. Ticket made and Photo's sent to JJP.
Hope it gets taken care of. I am gutted. I love this game.

Those aren't cracks by your guide rails, is just metal shaving debris that will wipe clean with a microfiber, mine does the same thing. Thought I could bring you a little good news.

Holy crap. You are so right. It was situated under the ramp so acces wasn't to easy. After your post i got a magnetic pen and sure enough it sticks. However the pooling issues on the post is not so easily fixed i am afraid.
Thanks for making my weekend a bit better.

Sure thing, glad I could help.

Quoted from zr11990:

Who the duck wants a ugly metal washer under the post. That looks terrible

Use clear before they tear...otherwise you have no choice, either that or carbon
