I've seen a LOT of different acronyms being thrown around. Time to settle on *something*. What's the verdict?

Write-in answers are welcome as well!

What about IMDN

#3 2 years ago

How about S80BA. (Stern 80’s band again)

#4 2 years ago

I thought everyone (important) agreed this was it already?

#5 2 years ago

Whenever I see that, I think "Iron Maiden, uh ... what are the next two words?"

But I understand the thinking.

#6 2 years ago

Could just go with 666. Easy to type.

#8 2 years ago

I like "IMAD"

#9 2 years ago

I like IRM.

I feel retro, from a time were acronyms where not trending : Maiden.

Impossible to confuse and true fans won't mind making the effort.

Maiden sounds good to me. It keeps things less confusing

Maiden is what we called them back in the day before acronyms were hip. Still sounds good.

Silly to try and make an abbreviation that is longer to type than the actual name...

Fefe. Is actually short, quick, and clever.

Irm is also short and works, similar to FEm

So what’s the original stern Iron Maiden then??? Haha

AIM = Archer Iron Maiden

I read in one thread that this was decided already... IMDN. I think it fits appropriately.

This poll won't decide it. It will ultimately be what people start using the most.

There was a HUGE discussion about White Water back in the day before WH2O ultimately won out over time.

Same with Wizard of Oz becoming WOZ instead of WOO.

#34 2 years ago

I don't give a flying fuck what you guys call it...it's Maiden!

I'm still fighting g the good fight with METLE vs MOPLE. METLE it is!!!

#36 2 years ago

Maiden. Do we seriously need an acronym?

#37 2 years ago

I think just 666 is most appropriate. It's basically their call sign and part of the title of the documentary on them.

MOPLE....stupid!!! It's METLE all the way.....Metallica LE for gods sake. It's a Metallica pin...not a Masters pin!

When will people learn

People started doing this because AC/DC had 2 LE's so you had to differentiate with BIBLE and LTBRLE. So people started using MOPLE for Metallica which I never understood since there is only 1 LE.
